These would be a great OEM upgrade to replace that paper cone automotive manufactures pretend is a speaker, but will never make your car sound like a high power or professional system.
you are not trying to build a sound studio in your vehicle, and are just looking for a good upgrade to the cheap factory speakers that are found in most vehicles
The car has separate tweeters mounted up high, having a coaxial tweeter built into the new Kenwood speakers brighten the highs a little
They don't put out anything that super low (in fact I would recommend turning you hpf on and setting it to 60-80hz to improve efficiency and sound quality if you can), and the tweeters are there, but no exceptional highs
They are perfect for pure rich high's in an entry level system
The tweeter delivers smooth highs but lacks the sharp details

The bass was good from the subwoofer, but I would really crank these and the vocals just weren't there
Great mids and highs, not so good bass unless paired in a full
Bass is limited but with some EQ sounds good at high volumes.
Put in the back of my Honda accord, and they are clear and have decent bass.
As far as the overall quality, they really lack bass, but have an acceptable enough amount for anybody isnt buying speakers specifically for the sound quality, but i got these to go with a
