Keurig K575 Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker with 12oz Brew Size, Strength Control, and Hot Water on Demand, Programmable, Platinum

    • Part of the morning coffee routine includes 4 hot water cycles to flush the unit
    • This model, with the temp set at it's highest, brings the temp of the water to only 166°F when we're using the "dispense hot water" feature.
    • I chose this model because I wanted a Kuerig that would do it all: make single cups, carafes with both pods and my own coffee, and make hot water.
    • So basically, you will have a VERY expensive hot water maker
    • I like to get just hot water and this does it.
    • nice large love the hot water only option love the large cup and mug sizes
    • Three main problems:1 - I use this to make hot water for tea
    • One of the reasons I bought the K575 was the Hot Water on Demand but I found out that the only way to get that is it must be left on ALL the time.
    • I have to practically fill the reservoir up to the top to get it to stop saying insufficient water.
    • Easy programming, great look and love the instant hot water as well as variety of beverage options!
    • Easy programming, great look and love the instant hot water as well as variety of beverage options!
    • So I dumped the filtered water and ran several cycles of hot water to clean out any old water... used my unfiltered well water... and got TWO full carafes to run correctly
    • if you need a cup of hot water it is
    • My hot water or coffee is always done in less than a minute
    • The support person walked me through the process of using the kit, which requires multiple hot water pours (highly inconvenient given that I have to walk all the way down the hall to the community sink to dump the water and the whole point of buying a Keurig machine instead of a regular coffee maker was to avoid this)
    • I can get 12 ounces of just hot water instead of the little 6 ounces all the other machines do.
    • Some ugly water along with some coffee grounds came out and the problem was fixed
    • Nice features compared to the earlier models but it leaks water from the old pod which is sitting in the container as the water is warming up for the next pod.
    • The maker looks good, is easy do use, has a lot of options, has a good sized water well, and makes a hot cup of coffee.
    • This unit when it works does a great job, water is hotter than old unit.
    • Beside the fact you can do a nice standardKCup, it also allows to setup a stronger brew and various cup sizes, as well as hot water dispensing for tea
    • I like the hot water option
    • 3 days ago the brewer locked in the open positionand then a large black plastic piece broke, now all it will do is make hot water
    • Plus a lot bigger water tank than the old ones.
    • I only use it now for the hot water option
    • The hot water dispenser for all else in these Chicagoland winters is nice.
    • The k525 is easy to use, hot water with the touch of a button and K cups are so much easier to use.
    • The hot water feature consistently produces brown water
    • Did you think that button would make hot water
    • When using it for hot water, the 12oz is perfect for a serving of Cup-Noodle
    • I wish they still made the K75, it was perfect size, served hotter water and didn't make as much noise.
    • I call my wife in and let her just smell the water
    • So if I want to brew a k-cup followed by a cup of hot water, I can’t get back to the hot water selection screen
    • I called Keurig back and they still recommend purified water instead of distilled water
    • The only issue I had was running well water through it (which was softened)
    • I like the hot water on demand and that it has a large 80 oz water tank.
    • I have read about seals, using paper clips to clean tips, running just water to clean it, etc.
    • My wife likes somewhat weak coffee and i make very strong coffee and hot water with it
    • I have used Keurig for seven years and have discovered so many brands and flavors of coffee, tea, hot cocoa and hot water.
    • I am using purified water, no calcium or any mineral to
    • Reassemble, run hot water through
    • I love it, wish it had direct water and drain connection.
    • always leaked coffee grounds and dripped water.
    • too pressurized....hot water works just wont brew through a K cup.
    • Makes coffee, hot water, hot chocolate, hot cider with ease
    • I have run multiple cups of coffee and hot water through
    • The coffee or hot water this unit produces tastes bitter, almost plastic-like.
    • Throw a tea bag in a mug and choose the hot water function
    • We love the strong brew option and the water is easier to fill/empty.
    • I went through 4 reservoirs of hot water brewing and nothing worked.
    • I removed the K-cup chamber, cleaned it out and ran a couple of hot water cycles.
    • Not often, but super annoying because you have to open and close the lid twice, once to get rid of the warning, and once to get back to hot water mode
    • One of my favorite features of this one is you do not have to stand there while pushing the button to get plain hot water
    • It looks very sharp and has a great water captivity.
    • The only issue I had was running well water through it (which was softened)
    • Then it asks "do you want to make hot water?", assuming it doesn't somehow see a pod where there isn't one and scold you for not using an approved K-pod, which it does probably 1/20 times
    • strong chemical taste even when making only hot water
    • The larger water well is much better as
    • I just added the included water filter & filled up the water container & let it make a bunch of cups or hot water until it was empty
    • Even if you just dispense hot water it smells like plastic.
    • im running only water thru it and have complained about it since set up.
    • Nice features compared to the earlier models but it leaks water from the old pod which is sitting in the container as the water is warming up for the next pod.
    • If I'm just getting hot water why hell cant I set any amount I want, like 22oz or
    • Ran a full cycle of hot water to do the initial cleaning
    • The support person walked me through the process of using the kit, which requires multiple hot water pours (highly inconvenient given that I have to walk all the way down the hall to the community sink to dump the water and the whole point of buying a Keurig machine instead of a regular coffee maker was to avoid this)
    • I like my old one better, this is noisy and takes longer to warm the water
    • I have washed the unit multiple times since receiving it and run it through 20 hot water cycles to include flushing it with white vinegar
    • So I dumped the filtered water and ran several cycles of hot water to clean out any old water... used my unfiltered well water... and got TWO full carafes to run correctly
    • Hot water option is very handy.
    • Clean it by using the hot water option it has
    • I can't make a carafe of hot water without a large empty k-pod
    • andhave had softened water for many years, all worked but this one.
    • I received the new one today and have run hot water through it a few times.
    • It works great and I love the features, but everything I brew has a funny taste, including hot water for tea
    • If you want to make hot water, they conveniently added a "hot water" button on the front
    • Loud water pump and slow to make coffee
    • The Keurig rep on the phone was very professional but recommended to use either tap water or purified water and just descale every 6 months
    • I like that it gives you the option to just run hot water to clean it out.
    • So basically, you will have a VERY expensive hot water maker
    • I'd need to replace from time to time, but I do feel better knowing my water is nice and clean
    • I always try to use my Pure Water pitcher to fill the tank as I don't want to replace the filter in the water tank and that seems to work.
    • and you have to wait for the hot water to be heated
    • Double the brew sizes, including Carafe and Hot Water brew (Carafe not included).Filter change reminder
    • I bought this because the product advertisement stated we could use this to make hot water conveniently
    • It prepares hot water, runs it through the pod and then pours it in a waiting cup.
    • Otherwise, functionality seems great so far and the hot water dispensing is a very nice bonus.
    • 3 days ago the brewer locked in the open positionand then a large black plastic piece broke, now all it will do is make hot water
    • I have burned my hand twice with hot water dripped out of the pod
    • All that does is give you instructions for how to make hot water, and conveniently provides you no easy way to immediately do that
    • The coffee always comes out great and it came with a couple free water filters and some free kcups.
    • Takes about a minute to heat the water up, but is well worth it because of two reasons: (1) once up and running it does not take time to reheat between cups, so you get continuous hot water ready to go, and (2) the water tank is very big which means it does not have to be refilled so fast
    • Clean filtered water makes the best coffee
    • I follow all descaling schedules, change the filters and use distilled water - last one still died.
    • Flush with hot water when I can get it to work
    • Additionally, while closing the lever with no pod in it, it would often display the brewing display instead of the hot water dispensing display
    • Very pleased but find that when I want just hot water, it takes a few cups to get clear water.
    • Takes about a minute to fill 12 oz cup with hot water from button press
    • The kids can even get hot water for oatmeal and regular hot chocolate.
    • First the pump wouldn't pump enough water, then the next one after three months it worldnt stop
    • I have to put in an empty one for hot water.
    • But I don’t like that when turned on, it’s always making hot water 24/7
    • Ran that all the way through until it needed more water, dumped remander, rinsed with water, then filled it all the way back up with water and ran that completely through
    • Great machine if you like your coffee, hot chocolate, tea and/or hot water with a strong chemical taste and smell.
    • , it doesn't recognize it when water is ready, so you have to cycle the kcup holder for it to brew - my last one would recognize that a new cup had been placed in there and would start blinking the "start" button *and that one took like 15-30 seconds to get ready for cup 2)
    • I love the option for hot water.
    • Really like the new instant hot water feature
    • Keurig sent me a K500 which looks almost the same, but it has a slightly different user interface--for example, there are no separate hot water choices
    • I have not used the hot water dispenser yet or the hot cocoa mode but its cool that they are features
    • I only ever used purified water too
    • after using this machine for a while it's performance and it's quality is unmatched and makes a perfect cup of coffee every time I did buy it as an Amazon warehouse deal so the box was damaged but the machine was not .were very happy with this product the reserve is large enough to not continuously fill, I do recommend filtered water and or purified water due to calcium buildup that could form on the coils, but after having this machine for A few months I've replaced two filters and I've done one the scaling
    • Kids use hot water for oatmeal couple times a week.
    • I use it for hot water for my morning oatmeal, and it works great for that, too.
    • I have soaked various parts including the water reservoir overnight in warm water, but the plastic taste remains
    • Unit indicates "more water" when reservoir falls just below half full☹️!
    • The hot water feature is nice
    • Will dispense hot water.
    • I'm not sure if maybe I just got a faulty one but for some reason the water comes out really fast and breaks open the kcup which then get coffee grounds everywhere
    • The biggest quibble for me were the instructions that came with it for one simple reason and that is it said to run one cup of clear water through before starting to brew your coffee
    • The hot water spout for tea is fabulous
    • but clearly there is a more serious issue with something internal with the heating element that is tainting the water once you brew the second+ cups
    • The coffee and hot water options vary from 4oz to 12oz
    • We had to remove it, wash the water reservoir, and run several cycles of hot water through the system to get rid of the bad taste
    • Or you can just use it for hot water
    • We generally use K-cups in it, but I've used the hot water dispensing function for tea bags a few times as well
    • Noisy as in anticipation another Keurig coffee maker will die an early death.
    • Maybe by the time I buy my next Keurig, they will increase the temperature again and ignore customers' complaints as I'm sure the majority of coffee drinkers prefer their coffee very hot - which is the proper way to serve it.
    • n’t clean
