What I REALLY needed was a shell case that will work with my current key
THey told me this would break soon again the same way and they had a better more durable shell to use. for $55 which included the cut as well

Very good replacement if you're handy enough to cut out the immobilizer chip and place it and the keypad into this new case.

You are supposed to have the new key blank cut to match the old key, but 3 different key cutters said that only the dealer has the right key cutting equipment to cut the new blank (since the cuts are all on the face, not the edges).

You will have to find a good locksmith to grind the key - not everyone has the right equipment

I was able to free the key blank from the fob with a dremel, but the molded blank is what would have held to two halve together, so I had to toss the whole thing.

I removed the innards of my FOB from my old key shell and installed it in my newly cut remote shell case and it worked great and was like new!Also be aware the ignition chip to my vehicle is embedded in my FOB innards, so it was transferred to the new key when I transferred the FOB innards to my new Remote Shell.

Don't waste your money as the one I bought cracked after about 6 months of use
FYI pretty much only Honda dealers can cut these keys and they will pretty much refuse to cut a non OEM key so don't waste your money.
It doesn't install ...they will charge u 7.5 bucks if u do return ..don't waste ur money
