It really takes you into the Pixar world and hearing the original character voices (or if they are not the real actors, they've done a darn good job coming close) while playing the games makes you feel like you are apart of a whole new story.
I think the first Kinect games such as Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports do a better job with motion recognition
However, we had grown frustrated with Kinect Star Wars as it didn't do a good job of detecting my son.
They did a masterful job of integrating characters from the movie into the games.
I will begin, by saying they do a fantastic job of immensing you into the world of Pixar and their movies.
I bought this for my 5 year old who does enjoy playing, although some of the features don't work for a child of her age
If even the adults are throwing up their hands and leaving the room (both experienced gamers who have played a number of other Kinect games and have been playing on consoles since the Atari 2600), then how is a kid supposed to figure it out?
She (and the rest of the family) seem to enjoy playing all the games.

My daughter loves how they scan her face and create pixar characters based on her.

After the first couple of sessions, my 6 year old daughter had mastered the controls and is able to jump from adventure to adventure without much input or direction from me

The kids love the game which came in brand new condition
The kids love it being the actual characters in the scenarios.
In the end many kids can get easily frustrated with the control problems, so be warned.
My kids love it, a month later and they are still playing it.
You meet up with another kid at each ride who helps guide you, but it's really just like any other game, and the kids get bored too quickly for it to be worth it.
