KitchenAid Blade Coffee and Spice Grinder Combo Pack - Onyx Black

    • The grind time is excessive; you can smell the heated grounds well before a fine grind is achieved
    • I use only whole-bean coffee and whole spices now, and they taste so much better when fresh-ground
    • I like the taste that fresh ground beans gives the coffee.
    • I use it for grinding spices, but it does not do fine grinding
    • Fast and easy way to have fresh ground coffee every morning!
    • I would only suggest during a grind stopping and shaking the contents you are grinding and redistributing to get a smoother grind without missing everything getting ground
    • Ground coffee leaks through the top of the grinder cup and top cover if ground more then a few seconds
    • does keep most of the grounds in the cup. if you fill to the max level, the best grind you will get is coarse, a finer grind requires more room, so if its espresso you want, only fill the cup less than half way or you will get grounds overflowing.the spice cups...who the hell made them so short
    • Poor grinding, took 3-4x as long as my previous grinder, and much more noise.
    • I see that some have complained about "dust" and other complain about not doing an adequate grind but frankly, I suspect that they are either over doing the grinding or not taking enough time to do an adequate job.
    • Poor for consistent grind.
    • I get the perfect grind in a very short run time
    • It's.a disappointing manual grind (which I can do myself jerry-rigging with some other equipment and saving the needed cash this Xmas!!)
    • Fast, easy clean, perfect grind consistency.
    • Fast, easy clean, perfect grind consistency.
    • The grind is a bit uneven but decent enough
    • Unit is extremely loud and cup pops off drive gear if grinding for more then 10-15 seconds
    • The grind is also uneven; powder at the bottom, still coarse at the top with some beans surviving intact
    • The upsides are many - especially the great grinding job that the device provides.
    • It grinds coffee but whatever is at the bottom becomes a super fine grind and is more difficult to pour out
    • Quiet grinding; does not wake up family.
    • the design of the top does not keep the ground up material contained well, instead it goes all over the place and makes a big mess and doesn't grind well either
    • I still use my mortar and pestle for small amounts, but this really works great when making big batches of fresh ground dried spices
    • but you get a consistent grind if you don't fuss with it.
    • The good: - grinds well when new - coffee grinding cup is large enough to grind enough for a 14 cup coffee maker - nice to have separate cups for grinding coffee and spicesThe poor: - very noisy - a little difficult to get the grinding cups to nest on the gears, but the unit won't start grinding until they are properly nested, so I didn't think this was a big problem
    • though is it just doesn't make a fine consistent grind.
    • The coffee grinder also works well for producing a consistent medium grind; it will not produce a super fine grind no matter how long the coffee grinder is run
    • It has removable stainless steel grinding canisters that you can put in the dishwasher
    • You can't control the grind like a burr
    • The plastic lids do NOT stay on good when grinding so makes a mess
    • It does very well at grinding small items like chia seeds up to pumpkin seeds in the large volume coffee bean container.
    • Lid is awful, while grinding everything get accumulated in between cup and lid and don’t be surprised if it is a filthy mess when you open the lid! This
    • But the grind of coffee to test it after it first arrived was absolutely terrible
    • does keep most of the grounds in the cup. if you fill to the max level, the best grind you will get is coarse, a finer grind requires more room, so if its espresso you want, only fill the cup less than half way or you will get grounds overflowing.the spice cups...who the hell made them so short
    • This thing wobbles when grinding
    • The very BEST feature I like is that the cup lifts out so you can dump the grinds into the brewing basket without making a mess
    • This grinder has a couple stainless steel grinding bowls that will never break down.
    • Really like this because it has three cups, it has a lot of power and grinds things up thoroughly
    • The grinds some how got under the cup to the point where I struggled to get the cup out to clean because the runaway grinds had the cup stuck
    • I was looking for a coffee grinder that could function as my old Mr Coffee (somewhat as a 'smart' coffee grinder, to turn off at the appropriate grind level) and to on a rare occasion grind those tough spices that I would be able to tackle in my mortar/pestle
    • Grind is uneven and takes much longer to get fine grind
    • Grinds all kinds of spices great, however the tall cup does leak ground spices; we usually just use the smaller ones and they work well
    • The coffee goes all over the machine while grinding plus the design of the blades does not allow for fine grinding of the beans.
    • The result is a faster grind to the consistency you like it.
    • Slow grinding.
    • I like grinding fresh coffee beans as well as grind my own BBq dry rub
    • It does a great job grinding
    • I love this grinder, perfect grind, quieter than my old one
    • Once grinding, the device would stop after the appropriate grind had been met
    • Couple quick points on this grinder:- round canister spins coffee insteadnof grinding- removable canister is nice- top lip of canister is very sharp be careful thatbit does not cut you- love that the lid does not get gounds on in after grinding, makes cleaning easier- fine grounds stick to the bottom while some bean in the top of the canister never get ground- seems that no matter how long you grin you still get inconsistent grind
    • All spices spew out when ground even with the lids on!
    • Very nice grinding set.
    • Very pleased with consistent grind, but best quality is the grind comes out of bowl without making a mess
    • Grind is uneven and takes much longer to get fine grind
