Overall, of the grinders under $50, I think this Kitchenaid is the best unit and overall I am happy with the purchase.
-
and the unit being on the tall narrow side exasperates the wobbliness.the cusinart has the funtionality
-
The good: - grinds well when new - coffee grinding cup is large enough to grind enough for a 14 cup coffee maker - nice to have separate cups for grinding coffee and spicesThe poor: - very noisy - a little difficult to get the grinding cups to nest on the gears, but the unit won't start grinding until they are properly nested, so I didn't think this was a big problem
-
The unit itself is extremely hard to clean
-
It's only okay grinding coffee, as you can't shake the unit to even distribute while it's running - a huge miss in design.
-
The unit failed in less than two years of ordinary use.
-
The unit finally died after less than a year so I will be getting a different brand.
-
I originally bought this unit to grind flax seeds for my protien shakes
-
I forgot and ruined my unit
-
I really wanted to like this unit.
