Reviews around option (5.00 of 5)

  • There are better speakers and systems, of course, but this is by far the best option I have heard its category, and I would pick it over many more expensive systems.
  • Love the connectivity options, I can switch between multiple sources of sound quickly and painlessly.
  • This is a very versatile "do it all" sound system, what intrigued me most at first is the option to use it with a TV, as my big TV's little speakers are merely adequate at best
  • This is a nice option to have if you're using both installed (non-mobile) and mobile devices such as a stereo and a cell phone

Reviews around performance (5.00 of 5)

  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • If you like the delicate soundstage and vocals with the air and a performance from the artist directly in front of you, these do not deliver that at all

Reviews around build (5.00 of 5)

  • Did not use the built-in DAC.The speakers look great and seem well-built.
  • Classic amazing looks, solid build, and very good sound with almost all music types I have run through it

Reviews around base (5.00 of 5)

  • Overall, a very good speaker that offers a solid based and tonal separation, but with a harsh high-end brightness that people above the age of 40 might have some challenges with.
  • They sounded good; strong base, a little light in mid-range, but nothing too bad
  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • Good base but not overpowered if you are looking for that.
  • The production of this album was flawless so listening to it with upper scale speakers (that one can afford) such as the 6’s from Klipsch is a real treat.

Reviews around connect (5.00 of 5)

  • When connected by wires, the mids are crisp and perfect
  • Using my iPhone Bluetooth doesn't sound as good as connecting it using a cable

Reviews around value (5.00 of 5)

  • Badly needs tone controls, more mid range and tweeters could be crisper, but good value for the $$
  • Overall, I think this is a great value for the $599 price.
  • The high end is perhaps as others have mentioned, a little strong at times, but I bought these and the Audioengine, and I kept these because they simply were bigger and more powerful, and just felt they were better value

Reviews around simplicity (5.00 of 5)

  • What I like about the Sixes - the classic good looks, the simplicity of use, the innovative all inclusive design, high quality materials/components & construction, the versatility, the magnetically attached speaker covers [very convenient] - The speaker size, not too big or small... they have that "just right" look to them
  • Well, now a days prices came down just enough for me to be able to afford the 6’s.
  • The production of this album was flawless so listening to it with upper scale speakers (that one can afford) such as the 6’s from Klipsch is a real treat.
  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.

Reviews around bass (4.45 of 5)

  • The production of this album was flawless so listening to it with upper scale speakers (that one can afford) such as the 6’s from Klipsch is a real treat.
  • I do believe I'd like a somewhat “warmer” bass from time to time (depending on the song), but I have no quarrel with the overall quality of the bass
  • The bass is well-rounded and lacks any sort of muddiness that you'd get with lower-end systems
  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • Especially for bass heavy music like reggae and drum and bass

  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • so I moved them to their final position and let them play music for 12 hours, mixed volumes rotating music to work them out a bit
  • While my music sounded good, my ears were just killing me
  • I've owned lots of 2 channel systems from traditional audiophile marques (Dynaudio, Usher Beryllium, Devialet) and this is a very good alternative for someone looking to just enjoy the music and/or TV

Reviews around system (3.86 of 5)

  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • FIVE STARS and this is coming from a guy who has had high end two channel systems for the last 25 years or so (at one point I had a $40k system, crazy)
  • The price point on the Bose is around $400 so it's not a cheap system (though it is designed primarily for audio from television) and this system is retailing for $800
  • There are better speakers and systems, of course, but this is by far the best option I have heard its category, and I would pick it over many more expensive systems.

Reviews around look (3.44 of 5)

  • The wood finish is impeccable and they are stunning looking.
  • However if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would recommend the R-15 PM s which also sound great and a better performance to price tag ratio.
  • Also, the finish to the top looked slightly off, like they didn't do a good job sanding before varnishing
  • They offer all one needs for a great two channel system, even vinyl, for under $800 and they are in no way cheap looking or sounding
  • Even your wife or significant other would love the look of these
