Korg KR mini Rhythm Machine
A great companion for practicing guitar, bass, acoustic guitar, winds, or any type of instrument! The KR mini - an easy, simple and compact rhythm machine with a built-in speaker and optional batter power for play-anywhere convenience!
It's pretty good - a number of different, interesting presets, controls are simple and intuitive, it's lightweight with a convenient form factor, and it sounds OK - not quite like real drums, but plenty good enough for practicing
Easy to figure out, just hold down any number in the top row till big button lights up,you can add to beat.to clear just hold down 2 big buttons

Sound quality is excellent!Having it around has improved my guitar playing dramatically and made practice much more fun!
The tempo dial, as great as it is, does not have any sort of indication of what BPM your drums are playing at
This unit sounds excellent played through an amp using its 1/8" out jack, and the little speaker it comes with is fine for practice and can be surprisingly loud.

However, it does not have the quality and user-friendly features as the Hammond drum machine I had in the 1970s, and the sound quality is poor, but there is an option to feed the sound through a separate amplifier

so I had no problems getting this neat little box working very nicely and programming in my own patterns
I break up the monotony of practicing new or difficult chord changes for a song I'm learning by trying out different rhythm styles - dance, R&B, Rock, etc
