The most coarse setting is not coarse enough for cold brew

I only use it for course coffee for cold brew

Your cold brew will end up calky and muddy

All in all, I think it's a very nice little grind & brew.

You'll never get a fine enough grind on a home machine, but for french press or cold brew - this grinder works fine.

Love the grind and brew option but the pot ways dribbles when you pour the coffee.

When coarsely grinding for French press or cold brew it makes a lot of dust

We were able to get a decent brew by only using half the functionality of the coffee maker.

I want to grind coarse for cold brew, but the coarsest grind setting ends up being much too fine.

Overall, the brew was excellent and there was barely any sediment in the bottom of the carafe.

Final product big disappointment,no matter how many different amounts of coffee beans ,it never tasted the way a good brew should taste ,I would have thought the opposite should have occurred after using brand new coffee just opened specially.

I got it specifically for espresso and cold brew

After every use you have to take everything apart and clean it in order for a proper brew the next time

One press of a button and a few seconds later when have fresh coffee brewing

This of course makes for a muddy brew in a French press

I bought the Krups to grind beans for cold brew

While this thing demands a higher price and more counter space than a smaller blade-grinder, it rewards you with a slightly better brew and a good deal more control over the fineness of the grind.

The grind and brew works

I would have expected more from a well-known brand like Krups, but as much as I want to like this coffee maker it has enough small flaws that I've essentially gone back to cold brew and K-cups.1

Yes the grinder is loud, but no louder than other all-in-one grind/brew machines that I have owned

However, I bought this to make cold brews which requires a coarse grind and even with it set to maximum coarseness it was much finer than the preground cold brew coffee I have bough.
