This weird aspect of an otherwise GREAT product is what made me deduct a star from my overall rating.

NEVERTHELESS, for all their many flaws, I still say these little suckers are worth the trouble just for that uniquely warm and "fused chord" sound they consistently provide.

Or to put it another way: the sounds made by the individual strings just seem to fuse together naturally and meld into one big, beautiful "collective note" -- something that doesn't always happen with metal E's and B's (even at the lightest gauges).More than anything else, these glorious chords are what first hooked me on nylons, and they've kept me coming back, in spite of all the downsides
