I replaced the steel strings with nylon as recommended by another reviewer and it did improve the sound.

Its a very lightweight starter guitar for a kid with great sound

You can't play any basic chords or "beginner notes" because pressing on those frets creates a terrible sound, not any notes

But with the way it sounds your not going to want it plugged in unless you like the sound of flawed music.
