The instructions for cleaning that come with this are more geared towards caring for a skillet - for example, it says the key to a good seasoning layer is buffing, which makes sense for a cast iron skillet, but not for a grill

But on a gas stove, I assume it will work the same as on a gas grill.

When properly seasoned, a cast-iron surface outperforms the new “non-stick” items, and can still be useful decades after Teflon has been scratched away.

Once it’s well seasoned take care by using standard cast iron care... avoid washing with soap, don’t overheat, no acidic foods, etc

For the price it was worth it for my uses, but if you only have intentions of cooking on one side stick with it and keep it well seasoned to avoid food stick-age

Also the price was better and the dimensions matched my previous one nearly identically

Weight of item is very good and size is perfect for stove or Back yard BBQ, instructions for seasoning were handy and helpful

They said they would update the dimensions and I see they have changed the description to the accurate size of 10"

I love mine for cooking stove top grilled style salmon and it doesn't take long to cook it.

That said, it's worth the labor to get to the end result of perfect grill marks and flavor

The more it's used the more seasoned it gets and the trough around the edge of the griddle is great for keeping stuff from spilling over on to your stove top.

He has an electric stove top and changed his mind after I already purchased

If you use this on a 5th burner in the middle of your stove, there's not much room for anything else on the stove top

This griddle rusts after one use and is impossible to clean off

Maybe I just didn't season it properly, but this thing was such a pain to clean.

To all those complaining about rust, you don’t wet a cast iron pan

It is like the size/weight of 2 cast irons pans

I love it though but if you have difficulty picking up normal size cast iron pans, you may want to think about the size/weight of this.
