Reviews around rpgs (5.00 of 5)

  • If you like RPGs(and even if you don't) this game is for you.
  • Like some RPGs, the second you get the Sword of Mana artifact you can win the game, because you will be strong enough.
  • Then a few years later, as well as many RPGs, On the fabled SNES was released "Secret of Mana"
  • 'If you love RPGs or SQUARESOFT/SQUAREENIX, you'll like this, I bet!
  • I love RPGs they're very constructive and many of them have a good plot

Reviews around secret (5.00 of 5)

  • I loved Secret of Mana, the earlier Mana game on the Super Nintendo, and loved it -- among many other Square games
  • And Secret of Mana, for the SNES, was an amazing classic beloved by many after all these years
  • The follow up to a surprisingly good Super Nintendo game, The Secret of Mana

Reviews around quest (5.00 of 5)

  • Even though it doesn't really have ONE HUGE plot, there are lots of little side quests that ultimately lead you to what you have to do.
  • Many have complained about the lack of story, but, in light of the game's extremely innovative quest system, I can forgive this flaw
  • The dynamic questing system is confusing and difficult to understand, and I'd totally lost the plot by the time I was an hour or two into the game.
  • From there you can chose where in the world you wish to begin you beloved quests

  • Loved the game play and the story line
  • It has no solid story line that can be followed
  • Final line, if you like RPG's get this game.

Reviews around monster (4.03 of 5)

  • The various foods have different effects on the monsters' agressiveness, magic, etc. as the monster grows.
  • The pets level up in battles just like the RP characters, and some monsters are more powerful than others.
  • Bright colors, cheerful (sometimes annoying) music, adorable characters, and of course, monsters you can't help but not hate
  • This can be very useful for defeating a powerful monster!

Reviews around graphic (3.95 of 5)

  • The graphics are very creative, bold, colorful, and pleasing to the eyes.
  • No one will dispute this point: the graphics of this game are beautiful.
  • I just can't recommend an RPG that has bland graphics and a very lacking and sometimes boring story, when there were so much better RPG's out there for the playstation
  • No one will dispute this point: the graphics of this game are beautiful.
  • Wow, this game has beutiful graphics the people the story line and everything is awesome.

Reviews around play (3.95 of 5)

  • While playing, my character has only died once (really early in the game).
  • You literally just hit the attack button until your enemies are dead...which won't be long, because this is one of the easiest games I've played
  • this really is one of the most charming games i've played
  • First of all, I would say this is the best game I have ever played
  • To put it simply, this was one of the best RPG games i've played in a long, long time

Reviews around system (3.22 of 5)

  • The dynamic questing system is confusing and difficult to understand, and I'd totally lost the plot by the time I was an hour or two into the game.
  • The magic system is a different from the other games, but it gives you a bunch of different styles.
  • Legend of Mana also introduces a really cool and advanced blacksmithing system that almost literally gives you no limits to what you can create!
  • Oh, what a terrible system! When you enter a battle, all of which are preset and cannot be avoided, your character moves in stutter steps

Reviews around way (2.94 of 5)

  • I loved the way you made music instruments and each one helped to catch a strange little creature
  • The only thing that was recurring was that the faerie princess kept losing her way from what I played, but what did that have to do with anything
  • Either way, I hope if you buy this you enjoy it as much as I did.
  • This two-way dodge/attack system was totally uneccessary compared to Sword and Secret of Manas free moving combat
  • And the innovative surfaces are pointless, the way you have to wait to get an "

More about Legend of Mana

  • Product description Rare New, Original Sealed
  • Case is new but there's 1 tiny yes very tiny crack on case Not bad
  • Overall condition is As suppose to New Fast Shipping with tracking, buy with confidence & thanks for looking Amazon.com Though it lacks the dramatic intensity of the Final Fantasy series--the crown prince of console role-playing games--SquareSoft's Legend of Mana still satisfies with its beautiful hand-drawn sets and its innovative nonlinear gameplay
  • Billed as the sequel to the Super Nintendo's Secrets of Mana, Legend of Mana's story contains more than 60 self-contained miniquests, but generally the goal is to restore the world's Mana, or life energy
  • Gamers won't need to be obsessive about winning all the quests, but there are some challenges that must be completed if you wish to reach the final showdown
  • The game begins as players choose either a male or female lead character while a map displays the new lands within the world of Fa'Diel
  • In each of these lands, players will find items and clues they can use in other lands
  • The fragmented nature of the game can be disorienting for gamers looking for quick gratification
  • A diary can be used to keep track of current miniquests, while an encyclopedia neatly organizes the vast amount of story players uncover
  • Due to the vast nature of this game's plot, you'll likely need these features to stay focused on your quests
  • Anime fans will be wowed by the character design and beautifully illustrated storybook backgrounds
  • The game includes a Pokémon-style monster-raising element, which is surprising for a teen-rated RPG, but it works well
  • --Porter Hall Pros: Pokémon-style monster raising adds nice nurturing element to RPG tasks Nonlinear quest system makes story engrossing Stunning hand-drawn backgrounds Cons: Music is at times absurdly overdramatic Second player controls character only during battle See all Product description
