Leviton DW15S-1BZ Decora Smart Wi-Fi 15A LED/Incandescent Switch, No Hub Required, Neutral Wire Required, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Nest

    • That unfortunately limits the automation you can do with the Leviton switches.
    • As far as smart home automation goes, this does the simple job of turning on and off your lights
    • To the best of my knowledge Leviton does not have such an offering.- Because of the lack of integration, automation is extremely limited
    • I purchased the plug-in outlet to try out a new (and more affordable) automation system
    • No Geo fencing (again limited automation)
    • So you cannot turn the switch on or off from the app as well as not being able to do it with Alexa.
    • I love how it softly brightens as it comes on and softly dims as it goes off
    • A little pricey,,,but works as it's supposed to when it connects with my WIFI
    • I have "dumb" Leviton dimmers all throughout my home; I now have two of the Decora Smart switches in my house because they work exactly as they should.
    • and it's so much better being able to control the lights remotely, as well as with Alexa
    • (4 total switches) install was simple, we all rejoiced as we turned on and off the lights and fans in our rooms with our voice
    • Then you can just say "Hey Google, dim pendant to 50 percent" as you head to the dining room and the lighting will almost be done dimming as you enter the room.
    • I've had a few bad experiences with the setup process of other brands, or even getting Alexa/Google to find a smart switch after setting up, but so far this switch is proving to work as it is supposed to be - if that changes I will provide an update.
    • The dimming function works just as well as with regular dimmer switches, and I love having the option of controlling them through the app and through Alexa (Amazon Echo device).Be advised that, as it says in the product description, a neutral wire is required for installation
    • Regardless, it's now working and hasn't failed as of yet.
    • It’s baffling as to why this decision was
    • Everything is currently working as it should, On, Off, and Dimming
    • However the Wi-Fi setup does not work as it should.
    • I have the ability to control them individually or as a group through the leviton app as well as through alexa.
    • n’t need dimming, but if you do want dimming capabilities this does a great job
