The plug in leviton switches work great for an existing house or rental so you won't have to hire an electrician to install the "in-wall" switches

I ordered several other Leviton Smart outlet plugs for other lamps and will go all Leviton for my 6 switches and say goodbye to X10.

The "W _ _ _" smart plugs also seem reliable, although their in-wall dimmer switch has occasionally had problems connecting

After searching, buying, and testing several like items, I finally found a SMART Wi-Fi Plug-in!!

But both those criticisms apply to almost all WiFi smart plugs

So far, this plug is working well with both Alexa and remotely with the app

I now have 2 Smart WiFi plugs and 3 Smart WiFi Light Switches.

For this reason I do not recommend these plug-in dimmers.

Overall, the smart switch is pretty good -- I've been slowly accumulating smart plugs and smart bulbs, and while it's great to be able to turn them on and off with my voice, there's something about walking into a room and tapping a lightswitch that's very intuitive

This device is not cheap, but it is the only Smart-plug I found which also acts as a dimmer control.

I am using some less expensive Alexa controlled plugs that maintains their setup during firmware updates and their apps do not lockup.

I wasn't sure of my Echo would dim with the standard smart plug and I found it did not

The plug-in dimmer does not work with HomeKit but is erroneously advertised as such on this Amazon product page.

I wanted a dimmer smart plug and this was the only one I found on the market

This plug worked with my 5ghz apartment wifi

I am still loving these plugs and they fit will into the 6-outlet side socket I am using with no problems

I connected floor lamps and holiday lights to the smart plugs I built - and those work on Google Home as well.

Smart Plug-in is simple

OK, another chance on something working, and it doesn't dim, but the plugs were set up so easily, and just worked

Being able to use my Amazon Echo turn on and off my lights through this smart WiFi plug-in has been awesome

I live in an apartment that only has 5ghz and MAC filtering (for security purposes) so it was awesome to find a sturdy smart plug that works!

Works wonderful and it fits a niche that is hard to fill (smart dimmer plugs are hard to find!).

This was the first set of smart plugs I had bought, and, like I said, it was primarily for the dimming feature

I'll be returning it as I already have smart plugs to turn the lamp on and off (and without the flickering..).

I also found that these smart plugs don't work well when the lamp is plugged into an extension cord and then into the plug

Also I paired it with Alexa which made the plug in even more dynamic

I was using a Wemo Smart plug in my living room which was either losing connection with Alexa or it would take Alexa roughly 5 seconds to turn on/off the light

Setup was straightforward (plug it in, download app, create account, enroll dimmer).

Physical Properties; The smart plug is about 3" H x 2" x 2" (approximate - just check the item description for more accurate measurements)

So far, I like this Smart Plug a lot

Another advantage of having these plug-in modules is they are easy to unplug and take with you when you move, great for our apartment

The Leviton plug in dimmer module works great and is super easy to set up and use

I have a plug I can not use because I refuse to change my password on my wifi to a less secure password.

I have 4 other WeMo smart plug ins and if I change the router or if the wifi doesn't work for whatever reason, I have to remove all the devices from the WeMo app and reinstall

This product exceeded my expectations and I recommend that anybody looking for a smart plug-in to use this Leviton smart plug.

UPDATE: 11/08/17I rearranged my room and had to change outlets for these smart plugs

The only disadvantage with a Leviton system is that the rest of the smart plugs are more expensive than the generic ones from Amazon ($30+ vs $15), so I use the cheap plugs instead.

The plug has worked very well and is very reliable

The bulb and smart plug have to both have dimmer built in

Little pricey compared to nondimming smart plugs but worth the extra cost for the ambiance.

I have my swamp cooler plugged into it and when I am on my way home, I turn it on in the app so that the house is nice and cool for me by the time I get home

Night and day compared to this smart plug.
