Nvidia's Gsync is not just adaptive sync but a number of criteria that a monitor manufacturer has to meet in order to meet the standard

Aside from the refresh rate the colors are vibrant, deep blacks, no blurring, low input lag and even G-Sync compatible

This monitor has some nice features like HDR and G-SYNC (via Adaptive Sync) although you can't use them together

it's NOT a G-Sync monitor but rather just G-Sync compatible

G-sync is not an issue.. bright vivid coolors and veeery smooth

It isn't a deal breaker, but if you want a perfect picture you'll need to spend another $150-$250 and get a QHD resolution screen

I love the stand, very solid and adjustable to any suitable height

The stand isn't that great to be honest as it is not sturdy at all

The stand is also pretty nice, it's heavy, it doesn't move, and unlike a lot of monitor stands it actually goes high enough to have good posture

I did however find that the stand was a bit shaky, however,lowering the height fixes that problem

The included stand is nice, it screws right on to the VESA mount and is height adjustable

The only negative really is the blacks on IPS will never match those on a VA screen - but they are much better than TN.The variable refresh rate seems to work perfectly under gsync (I own a GTX 1060), and as this is really a freesync monitor I would think the same would be true for all radeon cards.

He recommended an optical cable with high refresh rates as well to maximize the potential of the monitor.

G-Sync compatible is not the same thing by a wide margin

I know this can happen to anyone anytime with any brand, but I will knock another star off.

Other reason I knocked a star is that I can't find the LG OnScreen Control software now on the LG site, although it was available 2 weeks ago on the LG site and I downloaded and used it on the ancient laptop referred to above

5 star monitor and easy put-together, but 3 stars for settings/menu/hdmi setup problems

Excellent 1080p monitor, i knocked one star as the monitor lacks remote control unit and has an annoying power off/power saving function that is triggered whenever inputs are changed, and turns off the screen totally (must use power button to turn screen on when pc is turned on or resuming from power saving)

The only downside this monitor has is the fact that if you use this monitor to game on a PS4 (1st gen), you'll have some pretty bad screen tearing

So I was upgrading my gaming desktop with a new GPU (RTX Geforce 2070 Super) and even though I already had a very nice LG Widescreen monitor, it was only 60hz and I experienced significant screen tearing on games, etc

I picked the lg 27gl650f-b up for $200 bucks on black friday, i think it was a good investment since the monitor is 144hz and comes with free-sync and g-sync and its 1ms motion blur reduction which isn't very use full when you're using free-sync because you cant use them both at the same time but its also is 5ms gray to gray which they don't really include in the description nor specs on amazon but over all this monitor is still very

The response time is 5ms, the monitor uses as best as I can tell LG's version of MPRT tech to reduce motion blur, but it's not the same as owning a 1ms response time monitor

The test also tested for motion blur, which this display handled very well

Another thing I didn't like which may not affect everyone is the 1ms motion blur reduction - it made any game I played look much more blurry and basically unplayable
