• Reviews around input lag (3.01 of 5)

LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch Ultragear QHD IPS 1ms NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor, Black

    • I used to have el cheapo AOC, good image quality for the price but extreme discomfort that I realized just last week was due to its massive input lag
    • If you're an FPS gamer who's worried about input lag as I was, i say dont worry and pull the trigger
    • I don't use G-Sync or any adaptive sync because of the input lag
    • its blazing)Input Lag: Excellent (4.3 ms, one of the fastest 144Hz panels on the market)Refresh Rate: Good (144Hz, wish it were at least 165 Hz)Though 4k 120Hz panels have better picture quality, all have terribly slow response times and some with unacceptable input lag (looking at you Predator X27)
    • Incredibly Low Input Lag (feels as fast as my 240Hz
    • Adaptive-Sync Adds Noticeable Stutter using nvidia GPU (never had this issue with any G-sync compatible panel in the past)Only 1 out of the 8 picture modes has full picture controlsMediocre Contrast Levels (typical of LG IPS Panels, not horrendous, but blacks can appear a bit washed in dark scenes)Average Input Lag for Console Gaming (Disappointing if you plan to use this monitor for console gaming)Stand Doesn't Swivel and May Not Adjust Low Enough for Some UsersWishes (not cons):BLUE LIGHT Filter (important eye health feature for extended viewing sessions)165Hz Overclock (
    • I was worried that input lag may cause a negative impact on my gaming performance going to a 144hz IPS panel, but Im happy to say it did not
    • its blazing)Input Lag: Excellent (4.3 ms, one of the fastest 144Hz panels on the market)Refresh Rate: Good (144Hz, wish it were at least 165 Hz)Though 4k 120Hz panels have better picture quality, all have terribly slow response times and some with unacceptable input lag (looking at you Predator X27)
    • Retained low input lagBy replacing the old Asus monitor with this LG, I've been able to keep the great gaming capability of a high refresh rate + low input lag TN panel monitor and receive an upgrade to a higher resolution and an IPS panel
    • Win!I like the
    • ultra).Cons:1)the blacks are a bit weak on this screen, but not something that annoying as i sit at a well
    • Cons: if u overclock this monitor to 160hz or 175hz and set response time to faster mode there will be a lot of ghosting and motion blur it will hurt ur eyes if u gaming for 30min also the text u read will be ghosting as well u also see ur character in game get blurring
    • n’t be an issue
    • but it is possibly not as bad as
    • Tl;dr: fantastic monitor monitor for colorful content, fps games, and photo editing but not for dark content like stealth games or dark (as in color not content) movies
    • I noticed this all the more on the monitor I’ve been using from work during the pandemic, as we work from home part of the time
    • the monitor is great, it works as it said it would with one problem
    • , I watched Skyfall (2012) on this monitor and in some parts of climax scenes in Bonds family home the orange glow was present enough to be distracting, also the Black Crush effect causes sections of the screen be so dark as to make some details hard to see
    • It has high refresh rate (144Hz,) its colors are outstanding, and best of all: it's G-Sync compatible, meaning that the monitor is better at handling motion than in-game v-sync
    • IF* it were a G-Sync Monitor it WOULD work with a 9-Series Nvidia card.
    • Bright backlight+ G-
    • Then about the week of pre-order time they took down the LG info page on this monitor and released this with only g-sync compatible, no overclocking, and no sphere-lighting.
    • It's G-Sync compatible
    • 144hz, G-sync compatible, and the price can't be beat.
    • Responsive, crisp, IPS, G-SYNC compatible through adaptive sync, you name it
    • Something else worth noting is it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible (there is an attractive sticker showing this monitor is capable of it on the bottom left that I'm assuming can be removed)
    • I was dubious of the g-sync "compatible" vs. pure g-sync, but it's buttery smooth
    • It doesn't have G-SYNC hardware module like the Dell S417DG since its adaptive sync driven , but really who cares
    • Honestly, should be a "Pro" that this monitor is even G-Sync compatible for the price.
    • G-Sync with my GTX 1060 worked seamlessly (pun intended) on both, even though the Dell is not considered "G-Sync compatible"
    • 1440p, 144Hz, G-Sync compatible, Nano-
    • Large improvement in picture quality from my previous gaming monitor (LG 29UM69G).
    • Freesync/G-Sync compatible goes from 48-144hz with LFC through DisplayPort
    • This being both G-Sync and Freesync compatible is the icing on the cake
    • Super recognized that it is a G-Sync compatible monitor, and I was able to enable G-Sync thru the Nvidia Control Panel, however, when you view settings on the monitor itself, it is called "Adaptive Sync
    • I didn't notice any bleed and the IPS 144hz HDR support blows the LG32GK850-G out the water
    • If you need a monitor that is reliable, 240hz, 1080p, high in color accuracy, g-sync compatible, with about every imaginable feature that any other monitor at this price point has, not to mention a 1ms response time on an IPS panel then the 27GN750-B is the monitor for you
    • It is one of the best models to come out in 2019 and has all the things that I find important in a monitor: IPS, high refresh rate, 1440p rez, and g-sync compatible.
    • Rest of the modes are pretty uselessPositives:- 144Hz, G-Sync compatible (comes with G-Sync sticker on the monitor itself)- low latency IPS 1440p- adjustable stand (height, tilt
    • Neutral:This monitor is G-Sync Compatible but not true G-Sync hardware
