LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch Ultragear QHD IPS 1ms NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor, Black

    • overall its good colorful, bright, fast, until you start watch or play picture that black or dark, ips glow really bad, i try set and seat look on the center and you can not avoid
    • As for response time, it seems universally accepted by the monitor community that the fast setting is adequate in preventing overshoot.
    • While this monitor advertises 1ms response times, thats not happening unless you use the fastest OC setting giving you severe inverse ghosting
    • The fastest setting for response time does have "inverse ghosting" but the fast setting was super smooth
    • The fastest setting for response time does have "inverse ghosting" but the fast setting was super smooth
    • I game in a dark setting so no glare
    • I use the fast setting which is advertised as 5ms, and don't notice a difference than my 1ms tn panel
    • For example in sRGB mode the ONLY setting available is brightness
    • The 1ms response time setting is useless, but if you keep response time at the fast setting, it runs perfectly at 144hz
    • THE ONLY ISSUE is that the cables are a little short and the stand's lowest setting is weak
    • I suppose I may be sensitive to input lag as I can tell this monitor is just slightly less responsive when compared to the asus on the "fast" setting (faster makes it almost the same but is horrible to look at)
    • This monitor is fantastic - like having a new set of eyes
    • the setting to enable g-sync was flawless
    • pro - good IPS panel with quick pixel response time, comes with pretty much all the functions you would expect from a modern gaming monitor (high 144hz refresh rate, freesync/gsync, dark frame insertion, non-PWM panel, 1440P resolution, 27inches, advertised HDR support)basically the same exact monitor as 27GL850, just without the USB plugs -- so no way to update the firmware, but it does use the exact same firmware as 27GL850.con = the fastest overdrive setting will exhibit huge amount of overshoot, so stick with "fast" (2nd fastest setting).
    • it has a response time setting, which lets you adjust the response time of the monitor (stick to fast, because the fastest setting introduces ghosting)
    • the monitor has a built in setting called adaptive-sync
    • My concern was that the 1ms that is advertised is actually unusable due to overshoot, when using the faster setting
    • Make sure to enable 10-bit color on your PCMake sure to enable 144Hz on your PCDo NOT use the fastest pixel response time setting, it defaults to "Fast" and that's where it should stay (the fastest setting has bad overshoot)
    • I have it on the fast setting
    • Now the issues of the "1ms GTG" claim with the faster setting was already known, but the test results and exact response times I read were NOT on this setting
    • One thing though you cannot put it on fastest setting because it will ghost
    • Haven't played around with the different settings to check ghosting (with the Very fast setting, it comes set to Fast) or HDR stuff, but I really only play MMO's not
    • I use it for both gaming (Xbox One S) and work
    • n’t be an issue
