LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch Ultragear QHD IPS 1ms NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor, Black

    • G-Sync will NOT work at framerates lower than 40fps
    • It has high refresh rate (144Hz,) its colors are outstanding, and best of all: it's G-Sync compatible, meaning that the monitor is better at handling motion than in-game v-sync
    • i have the adaptive-sync setting from the built in monitor setting to ON (it comes in box ON)
    • However, I do not notice any differences when you turn off adaptive sync
    • IF* it were a G-Sync Monitor it WOULD work with a 9-Series Nvidia card.
    • Adaptive-Sync Adds Noticeable Stutter using nvidia GPU (never had this issue with any G-sync compatible panel in the past)Only 1 out of the 8 picture modes has full picture controlsMediocre Contrast Levels (typical of LG IPS Panels, not horrendous, but blacks can appear a bit washed in dark scenes)Average Input Lag for Console Gaming (Disappointing if you plan to use this monitor for console gaming)Stand Doesn't Swivel and May Not Adjust Low Enough for Some UsersWishes (not cons):BLUE LIGHT Filter (important eye health feature for extended viewing sessions)165Hz Overclock (
    • Then about the week of pre-order time they took down the LG info page on this monitor and released this with only g-sync compatible, no overclocking, and no sphere-lighting.
    • It's G-Sync compatible
    • Use)Adaptive Sync
    • 144hz, G-sync compatible, and the price can't be beat.
    • Pros:Motion handling (amazing for an IPS panel)Adaptive sync works flawlessly w/ nvidia cardsNo color banding Cons:Out of the box colors need some manual tweakingOff angle viewing relatively poor for an IPS display
    • Screen has great color and loads of adjustment, adaptive sync works right out of the box.
    • Responsive, crisp, IPS, G-SYNC compatible through adaptive sync, you name it
    • Something else worth noting is it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible (there is an attractive sticker showing this monitor is capable of it on the bottom left that I'm assuming can be removed)
    • Free sync works great with my AMD GPU
    • Free sync works great with my AMD GPU
    • I was dubious of the g-sync "compatible" vs. pure g-sync, but it's buttery smooth
    • Turn Adaptive-Sync on if you have a Gsync NVIDIA card, or whatever the AMD equivalent is.
    • I don't have a huge problem with this monitor except that you have to turn off the adaptive sync(?) if you use Nvidia card (RTX 2070) because it causes monitor itself to down frame when it crashes
    • It doesn't have G-SYNC hardware module like the Dell S417DG since its adaptive sync driven , but really who cares
    • Honestly, should be a "Pro" that this monitor is even G-Sync compatible for the price.
    • The 144hz is great, the adaptive sync works well in-game with my gtx 1080
    • The 144hz is great, the adaptive sync works well in-game with my gtx 1080
    • G sync worked great on all the games I tested
    • The refresh rate is not over lockable past 144Hz, which doesn't really matter to me, and the Adaptive Sync works identically to the G-SYNC on my other panel, with my 1070 Ti
    • G-Sync with my GTX 1060 worked seamlessly (pun intended) on both, even though the Dell is not considered "G-Sync compatible"
    • 1440p, 144Hz, G-Sync compatible, Nano-
    • This monitor allows you to select both 1440p AND 120Hz if you turn off the Adaptive-Sync option in the monitor on screen-settings
    • The bad: Two problems: for the display to work at 144hz you have to turn off Adaptive sync.
    • Verified adaptive sync on.
    • Gamer 2 (Gaming Use) (slightly brighter blacks and brightness help me spot and track enemies)Adaptive Sync
    • So, in the end, I'm keeping this LG because it is officially G-Sync compatible, although it still does not show on the official list at NVIDIA (the 27GL850 does)
    • Freesync/G-Sync compatible goes from 48-144hz with LFC through DisplayPort
    • Overall great product for those in need of 144hz/IPS/adaptive sync (v-sync) for gaming.
    • Pros:Motion handling (amazing for an IPS panel)Adaptive sync works flawlessly w/ nvidia cardsNo color banding Cons:Out of the box colors need some manual tweakingOff angle viewing relatively poor for an IPS display
    • G sync works perfectly and easy to turn on
    • Enabling it in the Nvidia Control Panel made the monitor settings show Adaptive Sync: Enabled
    • The active sync works perefectly with my Asus 1060 Strix, even running 1440p (native resolution) performs like a beast for gaming
    • I'm using it with AMD adaptive sync at 144 Hz and games look and perform great.
    • G-sync makes it even smoother
    • The Panel:First off, let me just mention how awesome Adaptive Sync is
    • This being both G-Sync and Freesync compatible is the icing on the cake
    • This monitor is capable of 2k resolution and is perfect for people looking for a g-sync compatible monitor it comes with an hdmi and display port so no need to buy those either
    • Gsync certified and Adaptive-Sync ready+ Supports wide color gamut and provides a very good sRGB emulation profile for those that do not
    • the monitor has a built in setting called adaptive-sync
    • This product is G-Sync Compatible but it is NOT a G-Sync Monitor
    • Super recognized that it is a G-Sync compatible monitor, and I was able to enable G-Sync thru the Nvidia Control Panel, however, when you view settings on the monitor itself, it is called "Adaptive Sync
    • It does not have the proper hardware to support G-Sync at its best
    • It's free of backlight strobing, it has very minimal IPS glow, it has FreeSync and supports G-Sync, and the picture is fantastic.
    • The G-Sync on this thing is incredible
    • With Adaptive-Sync (Freesync 2) on you can only select 60hz unless you drop down to 1080p (this is because at 1440p freesync can only go up to 100hz
    • If you need a monitor that is reliable, 240hz, 1080p, high in color accuracy, g-sync compatible, with about every imaginable feature that any other monitor at this price point has, not to mention a 1ms response time on an IPS panel then the 27GN750-B is the monitor for you
    • It is one of the best models to come out in 2019 and has all the things that I find important in a monitor: IPS, high refresh rate, 1440p rez, and g-sync compatible.
    • i said nvid panel vsync is OFF, built in monitor adaptive-sync ON
    • One way to fix that if you want to connect it through HDMI port while you also want to get max of refresh rate, you must turn off Adaptive-Sync ( Press Monitor Button / Game Adjust / Adaptive-Sync --> OFF)
    • Adaptive sync compatible with nvidia cards (I used a GTX 1080)
    • G-sync really is cool, it works
    • Rest of the modes are pretty uselessPositives:- 144Hz, G-Sync compatible (comes with G-Sync sticker on the monitor itself)- low latency IPS 1440p- adjustable stand (height, tilt
    • Neutral:This monitor is G-Sync Compatible but not true G-Sync hardware
    • Gsync compatible is almost as good as it gets for adaptive sync which helps get that natural flow of the game instead of distracting you with screen tearing lol
    • I don't use G-Sync or any adaptive sync because of the input lag
    • G-sync works perfectly, and the monitor looks great during gaming
    • Beautiful picture and the adaptive sync works great
    • I use it for both gaming (Xbox One S) and work
