Reviews around rate (5.00 of 5)

  • Excellent viewing angles, buttery smooth refresh rate, love everything about it
  • and I was loving the beatiful picture and high refresh rate
  • so I could easily get the best frame rate possible, and I never had Gsync
  • The color is great, though not much different from my old monitor (which was admittedly pretty high quality for its time), the ultra-wide aspect really opens up the viewing range (especially in shooters), and the refresh rate + g-sync make things noticeably smoother than before
  • The only benefit to G-sync is not having to fiddle around with the vertical synch setting in every game you play, since g-synch automatically detects and selects the correct refresh rate

Reviews around expectation (5.00 of 5)

  • I can tell you this monitor has surpassed my expectations
  • It exceeds my expectations (very high expectations) and I run it fully
  • Obviously this is a bigger distraction than the other problem, but it's over much more quickly, so I'm willing to overlook this as well as long as it doesn't get worse
  • The 34UC89G-B isn't utterly perfect (and how could it be, with a name like that), but in spite of its relatively high price it actually exceeds my expectations
  • Met my expectations too well, now I need a processor and video card upgrade to make the best use of the monitor

Reviews around sync (5.00 of 5)

  • I handpicked this monitor for it’s 144 refresh rate, glorious color, G Sync, and how games would look
  • The free-sync version is $250 cheaper ($420 w/ tax) and you dont get tearing when you run
  • The color is great, though not much different from my old monitor (which was admittedly pretty high quality for its time), the ultra-wide aspect really opens up the viewing range (especially in shooters), and the refresh rate + g-sync make things noticeably smoother than before
  • The 144Hz G-Sync works great with my NVIDIA gpu, and the IPS display has great color accuracy for every game I've tried

Reviews around experience (5.00 of 5)

  • I mainly bought this monitor for gaming, to have more screen space and to enjoy a more immersive experience due to the added screen space with ultrawide, and I have not been disappointed
  • For me it is a far better experience to play at this resolution with graphics maxed out in widescreen with G-Sync and 144 hrz than to play at 4K, turning down graphics and not coming near 100 FPS
  • Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to any PC gamer after a great ultra wide experience.
  • Add G-Sync to this and it is one incredibly smooth experience, not one bit of tearing

Reviews around fp (5.00 of 5)

  • You can actually experience what 30 fps on a gsync monitor feels like right now even if you dont have a Gsync monitor
  • This is a 144hz monitor so you want to aim for 144 fps to get the full advantage
  • I'm running a 7700K @ 4.9GHz with a 1080 Ti and even my rig can only just barely manage more than 140 fps in games like Overwatch and Battlefield 1 at 2560x1080
  • Now 30 fps will feel smooth like an optimized 30 fps console game

Reviews around thing (4.51 of 5)

  • IPS g-sync is the best thing since sliced bread!I like this monitor as much as my Asus PG279Q monitor
  • The 34UC89G-B isn't utterly perfect (and how could it be, with a name like that), but in spite of its relatively high price it actually exceeds my expectations
  • I'm coming from a 40 inch TV as my monitor and that thing was bright
  • Only thing that would make it better would be higher resolutions
  • I never thought even stupid things like scrolling on Chrome could possibly ever look better

Reviews around game (4.47 of 5)

  • At first when I got this monitor, I thought the gsync feature was okay and nothing spectacular and the low brightness was somewhat an issue for me but now that Ive had time to mess with the settings I can say even though the brightness is still dim at 100 max brightness settings, it still doesnt matter when EVERY GAME YOU PLAY LOOKS LIKE A FREAKING CARTOON OR
  • All the games I currently play are 21:9 supported (which is a bonus) and I run a Hybrid EVGA
  • The 34UC89G-B has some slight IPS glow in the corners on a complete black screen and that is all
  • G-sync makes things appear very smooth and removes screen tearing so games such as BF1, Far Cry Primal, Dying Light and Diablo 3 are very fluid which for me adds to the overall immersion
  • The 34UC89G-B isn't utterly perfect (and how could it be, with a name like that), but in spite of its relatively high price it actually exceeds my expectations

Reviews around price (3.61 of 5)

  • The price was great and it makes every game I play so much more pleasant
  • I have been unimpressed with the horrible designs and quality control and price of every 21:9 3440 x 1440 monitor currently available
  • Stepping up to 3440x1440 will require a 1080 or higher if you expect to exceed 60 FPS in demanding games, with 80-100 FPS currently achievable with a 1080TI.If you've been priced out of upgrading your GPU for awhile the LG will suffice and is a relatively good value, but I highly recommend visiting a retailer and taking a look at the top-end offerings before you take the plunge, especially if you've got a high-end GPU
  • A great improvement over smaller G-Sync monitors and a great price
  • I do believe the price could be slightly cheaper, I paid $1250 here in Australia

Reviews around pixel (1.00 of 5)

  • I had no dead pixels and very little to no backlight bleed on my
  • I bought this July 16 2018 and on September 26 2018 two lines of dead pixels emerged
  • The IPS bleed is average, color and screen uniformity excellent, and mine had no dead or stuck pixels
  • However after only a month of use i now have a line of dead pixels running across the bottom of my screen that appear regardless of the input i use and even if the monitor is not plugged into the computer
  • Looks like the panel is cracked under the screen with a big group of dead pixels

Reviews around motion blur (1.00 of 5)

  • IN EVERY GAME, TURN OFF MOTION BLUR or SET IT TO THE LOWEST SETTINGS
  • I have DOOM set to LOW for a life like feel to the game because motion blur exist in real life
  • But if you want to play DOOM like you are watching a CGI CARTOON, then Turn motion blur to OFF!Now pick up a controller and sit about 3-3.5 ft away from the monitor and every game you play will not only
  • If you set it to normal which already causes motion blur, its going to look even blurrier with the in game motion blur settings
  • Its set on Normal as the default but having it set to normal will cause motion blur
