so I could easily get the best frame rate possible, and I never had Gsync

The color is great, though not much different from my old monitor (which was admittedly pretty high quality for its time), the ultra-wide aspect really opens up the viewing range (especially in shooters), and the refresh rate + g-sync make things noticeably smoother than before

The only benefit to G-sync is not having to fiddle around with the vertical synch setting in every game you play, since g-synch automatically detects and selects the correct refresh rate

I can tell you this monitor has surpassed my expectations

I mainly bought this monitor for gaming, to have more screen space and to enjoy a more immersive experience due to the added screen space with ultrawide, and I have not been disappointed

For me it is a far better experience to play at this resolution with graphics maxed out in widescreen with G-Sync and 144 hrz than to play at 4K, turning down graphics and not coming near 100 FPS

Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to any PC gamer after a great ultra wide experience.

Add G-Sync to this and it is one incredibly smooth experience, not one bit of tearing

You can actually experience what 30 fps on a gsync monitor feels like right now even if you dont have a Gsync monitor

This is a 144hz monitor so you want to aim for 144 fps to get the full advantage

I'm running a 7700K @ 4.9GHz with a 1080 Ti and even my rig can only just barely manage more than 140 fps in games like Overwatch and Battlefield 1 at 2560x1080

I'm coming from a 40 inch TV as my monitor and that thing was bright

Only thing that would make it better would be higher resolutions

I never thought even stupid things like scrolling on Chrome could possibly ever look better

I have been unimpressed with the horrible designs and quality control and price of every 21:9 3440 x 1440 monitor currently available

Stepping up to 3440x1440 will require a 1080 or higher if you expect to exceed 60 FPS in demanding games, with 80-100 FPS currently achievable with a 1080TI.If you've been priced out of upgrading your GPU for awhile the LG will suffice and is a relatively good value, but I highly recommend visiting a retailer and taking a look at the top-end offerings before you take the plunge, especially if you've got a high-end GPU

I had no dead pixels and very little to no backlight bleed on my

I bought this July 16 2018 and on September 26 2018 two lines of dead pixels emerged

The IPS bleed is average, color and screen uniformity excellent, and mine had no dead or stuck pixels

However after only a month of use i now have a line of dead pixels running across the bottom of my screen that appear regardless of the input i use and even if the monitor is not plugged into the computer

Looks like the panel is cracked under the screen with a big group of dead pixels
