Yes, it will play Blu-Ray disks, Yes, it will play 3D disks, but when you play a standard disk, the picture becomes blurry.

The player loads and plays all media I've used, has a good remote, and with HDMI cables provides a great picture.

The picture is upscaled very well, had problems with it freezing up but after firmware upgrade it has been good

Purchased to match up with my new LG smart TV, and give me Blu-ray capability.

Has set up with LG 55 inch LED 3D smart TV and Onkyo 5.1 home theater system

It is possible that you are doing something wrong or that the TV is the culprit.

In desperation I put my movies on a Western Digital external hard drive (My Book 3TB Essential) and connected the hard drive to the Blu-Ray player
