That gives you lovely crisp text, but it is also way too big: you have to sit much further away from the display than most people would want to

As if designed for maximum distraction, the automatic standby screen is some black text over a jolting light-gray background (it should be a dark background like most other displays on standby).Waking the display is cripplingly slow; it always takes 5 to 10 seconds to display anything (including the display's own UI for switching inputs, etc.).I use the display for both a Macbook (USB-C) and a PC (DisplayPort)

There is one poor design choice here, the power on light is part of the joystick which is located under the monitor so if you need to verify the monitor is on you have to cup your hand under the joystick to see if it is lit

4k picture is stunning.1) Plugged my Win10 Lenovo T450 and picture was up there no problem

At my previous job, I had a very nice MacBook Pro, which I used with a Thunderbolt workstation.

I preferred the LG 4K for playing the game, but not so much that there was a noticeable image difference, but I again go back to the eye fatigue comments I made above

It also works great with my Early 2016 MacBook 12" connected via the included USB-C cable

What I don't like about the 5K

My eyes just really prefer the 4K when they have to stare at the screen for 10 hours a day

- 4k 27” isn’t the right resolution for Mac OS, as another reviewer (Mr A.) mentioned

4K on a 27" screen size is a very unfriendly resolution for Mac users

I suspect many of the users of this monitor set the 'wrong' 2560x1440 resolution and then are unimpressed with the display's quality

I really missed the ability to adjust volume on my keyboard

The problem here is that I lose the ability to fast charge my Nexus 6P directly off the monitor's USB-C port with this configuration.
