after using it I found that mix cds I make will not play on my car cd player nor on my portable player.

never had issues with these cd/dvd players, this is our 3rd due to theft but they perform well and we can use them on any of our laptops since they are then models that didn't come with cd/dvd player, as well as some of our trainers/vendors with similar model PC's that are lacking cd/dvd players.
