wow, the lusciousness of the photography came across in vivid living color
From reading other reviews, it seems that the processor doesn't necessarily create better colors, but instead creates better contrast between the color shades and brightness levels which in turn creates a better image as a whole
The color is so beautiful
Overall, other TV models and technologies are able to produce brightness levels well above 1000 nits, but LG's Oled's ability to decrease black levels in individual pixels to virtually off levels, while displaying rich and vibrant color images, is a difference maker
Beautiful, colors are vivid not too big for the room.
There is a bluetooth option is a nice feature, however, I ran into some limitations with it
Although every year newer Oleds improve features meant to prevent burn in, it can still occur
Plenty other excellent TVs out there which are full featured and not lacking whatever bits LG inexplicably decides to ignore.
How many and how extensive those features available by firmware
Sometimes there is too bright, like staring at a computer screen all day, and there is a setting to reduce eye strain, which is a nice and helpful feature
Where as current HDR TV's are only able to play HDR10 through HDMI (I'll talk on LG in a bit), this HDMI 2.1 allows for Dynamic HDR to be played by HDMI sources
X, Quick Media Switching, and the ability to play Dynamic HDR through HDMI
However, HDR10 is and will continue to be for the time being the most widely recognized and used Dynamic HDR available across all platforms
As stated above, HDMI 2.1 introduces dynamic HDR by HDMI to TV's, however, LG is the only major TV company (not sure on Vizio) that has a leg up on the competition by having the Dolby Vision HDR chip embedded on 2016, 2017, 2018 models
Another change is the introduction of "Active HDR", which is supposed to improve HDR10 sources and mimic the dynamic properties of how dynamic HDR works
It also seems that there is no real explanation from LG regarding the improved baseline nit levels, though it could possible be attrubted to the calibration process or even the Alpha 9 Processor at work
Perfect black levels, built in Atmos makes delivers incredible sound for a TV, absolutely stunning picture, especially with Dolby Vision content
We had the brightness at a reasonable level

That said, I enjoy the brightness level the TV outputs

Yeah you could make it better with a sound bar, but even without it (as we're electing) the sound is very good.
: this TV has only optical out, not even a regular line out jack, and switching between sound options is complicated and requires the fancy unusable remote - no component input--- SummaryGood screen, good sound, disappointing everything else

Reasonable sound.
This creates a nonstop jerky or flashing motion instead of the illusion of a fluid moving picture that you see on LED TV’s or in the movie theater

We also have the Apple TV 4k, and pairing that with this TV takes things to the next-level, as Dolby Vision and Atmos are used - by both the Apple TV 4k, as well as with this TV.Overall, we're very happy with this TV and no regrets whatsoever.
I tried using LG’s TruMotion to smooth out the motion, however this created unnatural artifacts, including shimmering around moving objects, distortions, tearing, and sometimes outright bizarre mistakes in the image reproduction

Has intuitive and easy to manage controls for precise calibration of color / contrast / tonal balance

In every other scene I tested (including the snow scenes in Inception), the brightness was fantastic

Between the increased color spectrum and improved brightness, 2016 was really when LG Oleds shined and showed off their true potential with HDR10 and Dolby Vision Sources
Since becoming a Signature Line product in 2016, LG did a great job turning Oleds from a gimmick to an industry leader
For people like my friend who definitely enjoy motion enhancements, I would recommend Sony A8F, since Sony’s motion processing has much fewer artifacts, and I definitely noticed artifacts on my LG TV.Everything else was great for me!The Amazon seller Sparky Shipping did an excellent job delivering the TV within one week
The vendor (Beach Camera) also did an excellent job in boxing for shipping.

I researched TV’s extensively before purchasing and thought that I would love this set
The set up was a bit frustrating.
I wouldn't recommend this as the best set for sports which only look so-so
HDR10 works by applying one set of HDR rules across the entire movie or episode, where as Dynamic HDR can change settings and HDR rule sets from scene to scene, thus the word Dynamic
I've never seen a quality picture like this, it's amazing!

(The sound does not cut out using the TV's builtin speakers, but they sound absolutely terrible).LG refuses to repair it because I brought the TV over a year ago, so I will have to replace the entire set because of lousy quality control on a $2 component
TV reviewers praised the TV as the best picture quality ever achieved, but I’m astonished that virtually all reviewers ignored the stuttering issue

CATV often pixelates with fast moving images on every channel
The 2018 Alpha 9 Processor has a 35% CPU and GPU boost which is supposed create better images by processing contrast, color, sharpness, and motion more efficiently
This is why Oled's are able to create enough contrast between brightness, dark, and color levels to generate superb HDR images and video

no problems..not one issue with anything
I tried using LG’s TruMotion to smooth out the motion, however this created unnatural artifacts, including shimmering around moving objects, distortions, tearing, and sometimes outright bizarre mistakes in the image reproduction
, I've been lucky to not have had any issues with my Oled including permanent ghosting, burn-in, yellowing, banding, or dead pixels despite hundreds of hours watching different content and playing video games

The LG will likely look relatively dark, with muted colors and may suffer from soap opera effect.
Though LG has improved on their Oled technology to limit-burn in and other issues, they still can occur
That can be fixed by telling the Harmony that you have a "dumb" LG TV rather than a smart one
This LG doesn't have that problem and works great with surprisingly good audio for TV speakers.
