I haven't tried it at night yet but during the day the picture is good enough to see the blind spot right behind the truck.

It helps since I have a blind spot in the rear side of my convertible when the top is up.

Not waterproof and once you get even a tiny bit of moisture inside, humidity will cause the moisture to collect dead center of the lens creating a blind spot.
