Only downside is that I was hoping the shade wouldn't be a cheap plastic, but it is.

Cheap, thin metal, cheap, flimsy plastic shade on top

Plastic will crack and aluminum will permanently be bent

The top lamp shade is a cheap plastic but overall this lamp looks really nice and functions well for the money.

One thing I don't care for is the cheap plastic shade for the top light.

Worse, the styrofoam packaging feel apart int he opening making it impossible to resend the fragile plastic light shade etc

Exceeded expectations aesthetically as well as with efficiency for this price point
