There is a slight gap in the top of the back piece that allows me to drape some of my favorite fabric or wrapping paper as the backdrop as well as the several colors sent with the kit

So if you want a white back ground you lay the white fabric over the back to block it

Lights have retractable legs and everything fits together nicely.

no setup instructions, the package was open inside of the box, the white screen is full of dust and lint, had to put in extra effort to remove gaps between screen and case, legs on lights are clumsy to adjust

The only weakness I've found in kit is the legs on the LED lights
