Band steering (as it has been implemented by Linksys) is overrated, and in many cases can cause worse performance for things that matter to customers, like AirPlay streaming
The price was reasonable, but the performance is fantastic.

We purchased this and found out it is a really great product.
Spent two hours on the phone with linksys and even though the person helping me agrees that the product is defective they want me to call back again for a ‘second opinion
It's pretty unbelievable how much work it must have been to write firmware that intentionally cripples your product so that it is suitable only for the most basic home users with little interest in customizing their network or their network security.
Overall this is a good product but finicky and not reliable
Intentional or not, this is deceptive product advertising by Amazon - please correct by showing different ratings and reviews for each device.

I was looking for a router to handle both my roommates and I gaming, 3 cell phones and multiple computers attached to the WiFi at one time without getting slower speeds
The router was easy to set up, the app works well, and the speed and coverage are both great throughout my 1500sq ft, 2 story house (even good in the attic).
Also compatible with faster internet speeds as our old router was limited as to the speed it could handle.
Great router, setup was easy, speed is great, no streaming issues, and was a huge upgrade from what I had previously
I have had two small issues, one with connectivity initially and one with very slow upload download speeds, but a call to Linksys solved it all.
