As much as I love my Lodge cast iron skillet, I figured this griddle would be exactly what I needed.

The design does not work well for my glass top stove, so this has become my grill pan

I was blaming my glass cooktop stove (which I dislike) until I read of all the gas stove users here with the same stories if frustration

Does not heat evenly on my flat top stove - even if I preheat it.

It is a nice pan but doesn't sit flat on our glass top stove

Nothing wrong with the pan, it's the stove and expectations when misused.

There is nothing better than cast iron and Lodge pans are the best.

Cast iron products are very good at distributing heat efficiently at moderate temperatures; but, high heat disrupts that distribution by causing a hot spot on the section directly over the burnet

I love cooking with cast iron, and, although it took a while to get used to, this fits the bill for making bacon and eggs!

I have followed the manufactures usage and cleaning instructions, however the pan has an orangey color, and food sticks easily while cooking.

The rough "pre-seasoned" finish the griddle comes with stands in the way of real natural cast iron seasoning.

After this griddle was reasonably well seasoned, and after I learned how to use it, it works wonderfully

I already owned the grill pan version and use it every morning, so I got this one just for tortillas

Had to use up two Non-stick grill pans I received as gifts

It works as it should pebbly or not

However I found this grill pan to be very unwieldy and too heavy for me and my wife

Holds four pieces of bread easily and doesn't have the grill marks, yay!!As far as I can tell it is made very well

No more trouble than non stick pans and will definitely last longer.

What I love about the cast iron pan is that it gets better over time, they will last a lifetime if you know how to take care of them, they don't omit harmful fumes when heated (unlike those non-stick pans) and lastly they are made in USA.A must have in your kitchen
