Some of the extra things I noticed are;Pros:-Cool design/keys-Smooth and highly customizable RGB capabilities-Macro-keys and media controls-sturdy and durable construction (I know it's plastic, but it's also a really good plastic)-ARX
-
Even though the seller shipped a broken plastic cover wrist-rest
-
The two hand rests are held in by 4 thin and flimsy plastic arms that snap into the keyboard body -
-
There is a cover part that can be removed, but underneath it is hard plastic.
-
I popped out the keys and saw the switches are made of cheap flimsy plastic that cracks very easily, so easy apparently that they could not survive shipping
-
The wrist rest is plastic and if you're someone who doesn't have a good ergonomical position and rely on the rest, then the hard plastic surface might wear
-
Flimsy plastic
-
This stupid plastic thing is nothing more than an unnecessary bulky plastic thing for looks
-
The Romer-G switches are held together by a cheap plastic ring (which is blue, you can see this if you pop off a cap)
-
It's a flimsy plastic stand that does the same thing propping your phone up on the wall would
-
The keys are made of a rubberized plastic material that I personally prefer
-
You can remove the piece of cheap plastic on the top of the wrist rest, but the base of the rest is still there and a part of the bottom of the keyboard
-
There's a large abnormal plastic "handwrest" that should be optional, but isn't
-
Plastic feels a little cheap, but not too bad- The space bar is freaking stuck and I can't type with it at all (please note that this is a rare problem, yet common enough for it to appear multiple times with a google search
-
The keys are a cheap plastic feel, the mechanical part of the keyboard feels an awful lot like a membrane, not the snappy feeling of a mechanical keypress, and the "phone dock/mount/whatever-it's-called" is just a cheap plastic pull out tray
-
, it's just a sliding, cheap plastic where you can put your cellphone or phablet that can display information
-
Wrist rest uncomfortable (hard edges, loose plastic) and is not removableAfter a little over a year, LEDs are displaying the wrong colors (Logitech forums indicate this is a hardware issue and requires a replacement)Phone software is very poor and uselessSuch a high price point to develop a failure within a year is not reasonable
-
Works but not a fan of the stupid plastic wrist guard that easily falls off.
-
A very easy to program mechanical keyboard.
-
For now I'm leaving the rating a 4/5, driven by optimism that I will grow to enjoy the keyboard more as I use it, and the fact that given everything I've said, it's still a great keyboard with tons of features I was looking for
-
That isn't to say that this keyboard isn't pretty good, it just isn't as great as it could be considering this is the successor to the G710 (which I also own).First - The key caps are miserable
-
...update: a s e x no longer work, have to trash the board now
-
The sugar in the soda must have shorted something out because now the LED’s don’t
-
The W, S, 2, and Z key would no longer work
-
But I rate this keyboard 3 stars because of the fact that you have to overcome some things that might be deal-breaking such as the keycaps, the weird looks (to some), and the half-decent wrist wrest(s)
-
This wasn't a deal breaker however and I used the keyboard by itself until he switches staarted t fail causing either muultiple letters per single keypress r nothing to be typed at aall
-
Regarding the positives -- I got this keyboard literally to come home to something novel.
-
Havent been able to use the app (as my work network is very restricted and the app works over wifi) but im sure its great i will update when i move the keyboard to my home setup
