The noise is less consistent than the first
-
it does some kind of test by rotating the wheel as far right and left as it will go, making a loud clunky noise.
-
button.- The mounting clamps semi-frequently experience a sort of slight release under heavy steering input (at least when mounted to a standard desktop) and it makes an incredibly frightening POP noise, however continues to work normally with no damage

Second (1st replacement) had a loud screeching noise when turning

Forth, and this is my MAIN COMPLAINT, the force feedback and the knocking noise.

Makes a odd noise when turned to the right

It works... pretty well at that!- Great clamping system!- Great feeling pedals (with the exception of a small thing mentioned in the cons)[Cons]- An infernal screeching noise when turning the wheel to the left
-
The sound is a rough clanking noise and if you're not bothered by sound, then it shouldn't deter you form getting it

Mine has a screeching noise when I turn the wheel to the left, both when powered on and off, this is a high pitch and loud noise that is easily hearable even when speakers are at high levels - extremely annoying, I sent mine for a replacement, but Logitech's main and only distributor in Turkey just sent it back, after 3 weeks, doing absolutely nothing, probably the package was even unopened (the package was also damaged from their mis-handling), by infringing my rights as a customer, as there is a 14 days return period2

Update 4/27/17: second wheel started making the same squeaking noise when turning left after a couple of days
-
Just got as a Christmas present and the pedals work great and turning right is fine also down shifting with the paddles work but up shifting usally take 2-4 trys to register and when you turn the wheel left it makes a really annoying high pich noise please help
-
I will be keeping this unit but dropping to 3 stars due to inconsistent build quality and the squeaking noise.

This clicking noise isnt helpful at all when in VR since youre most likely wearing headphones, without the tactile feel of a 'bump' its sometimes a little hard to know if you pushed it far enough
-
If noise is a issue 4 you then you should look into a belt driven wheel
-
I have had no issues with mine, and have not experiencing this issue that has been reported of the gears being loud or making any unnecessary noise
-
Fourth was perfect then it started to misalign, have a loud screeching noise, then flat out malfunctioned thus becoming not usable in any shape or form
