Logitech M705 Wireless Marathon Mouse

I've used similarly shaped full-sized mice in the past and always liked them, but the smaller size feels awkward
Besides this GREAT programmability, the mouse itself is a convenient size
Good battery life and large size is handy and is shape of mouse.
This mouse is a great size, and fits my hand well, has great battery
The size is awkward, and the sensor is placed at the side, which means it has strange behavior during the normal "pick-up-and-move" motion you do to center the mouse on the surface
Whoever was in charge of designing those scroll wheels that "unlock" needs to go away for good, that is such a terrible feature and even though the Logitech M510 has it as well it would be a far better mouse if it had a fixed, firm scroll wheel
The best feature that I looooove about this mouse is the scroll wheel feature that I wonder why no other brands have built into their mouse
My favorite feature is the button to unlock the scroll wheel
Another nice feature of this mouse is the ability to change its' weight by using one battery (lighter) or two
I've been using this mouse at work for several months and really like it, my favorite feature is the "hidden" thumb button
it left/right as well), and it's missing the thumb button
I like the different buttons. and that the scroll wheel can also do horizontal, and the scroll button can easily be changed to scroll quickly or precise.
When I click the right button, the right button will go under the left button
The button on the top allows to lock fast/slow scroll and the scroll buttons also works as middle button
They changed it, quality is much lower, it missing the thumb button and the mouse quit working after one day.
The two main mouse buttons seem alright, but they take very little force to click (less than the weight of a resting finger), so accidental clicks are an issue
The click from the left button is a lot louder than my last Logitech mouse of similar size.
I came back to this same mouse because the click is fairly 'soft' - in other words it's easy to press down the left and right buttons so it doesn't irritate my wrist as some other models do
It feels pretty nice to use, and the left click, right click, and scroll wheel all feel nice
The right click is so sensitive, I hit it by mistake constantly
Even though the mouse is fine, only 4 stars because I am using this on my
This doesn't happen all the time, and it's not a dealbreaker or anything, but it's irritating enough to knock off a star.
4 stars because its smooth scrolling chrome addon that comes with it is bad and theres no clear way to adjust dpi
The user instructions was surprisingly limited - no explanation of the side switches or the scroll free spin switch... if instructions were complete, it would get 5 stars.
I knock one star because when the wheel is free rolling it sometimes moves the tab by mistake.
This could have been the perfect business mouse except for one FATAL flaw: the right button is so sensitive that I click it accidentally several times a minute, which totally blows my concentration
Although I've tried Logitech's $66 MX Master and a different, $12 laser mouse, I still prefer the M705 as of this writing
had(which is given to my dad then) from staples... just some trivial flaw like the off/on button does not perfectly showed by its red/green color
I'm also confused as to why Logitech Options isn't compatible with this mouse
super hand fit and in all functions is as smoothly responsive as you could ever want, without being jerky.
Sensor is in SO POOR and barely works on a flat mouse pad let alone my leg or laying down like I sometimes migrate to after hour 8 of sound/video editing
The new revision overall looks lower quality and logitech is using a cheaper lower quality sensor for the laser
good mouse, but you need to plug in a usb thing, and the optical sensor is good, not great
Sensor is in the worst place ever as well which multiplies the fact that it can't sense anything on any color
The new version feels cheap, has removed the extra thumb button & has an inferior sensor
The cheap plastic and bad design lets the left button and right button hits each other after using it for only three months
I compare the sound of nails on cheap plastic to nearly the same cringe of nails on a chalkboard

It's not quite as big as the Microsoft 5000 mouse which I LOVED b/c of how well it fit my hand.
In addition, instead of being made of metal, the scroll wheel is cheap plastic made to look like metal in the photos, but won't fool anyone who sees the real thing
Only thing I'd recommend is that if you do not intend on using the bottom thumb button to disable it as its default behavior on a windows PC is to "fly out" and show previews of all of your programs

I'm also confused as to why Logitech Options isn't compatible with this mouse
Tested another Logitech(M310) mouse I had laying around and did not notice the strange behavior as noticed with the M705.
Both units hung up during scroll, jumped and consistently failed to stop scrolling
I really miss the accuracy, 'work anywhere' performance, and heft, but not the cost and battery draining ability, of the blue light mouse that this unit replaced, This unit isn't quite as accurate or happy working on the glossy palm rest on my laptop, but it does just fine on most other surfaces, and is a joy to use with a mousepad.

I had this same unit for over 6 years and it finally died !!!
Random clicks, a faulty scroll wheel, and unwanted double clicks plagued the unit
This contoured mouse fits my right hand just right, I've used oddly shaped mice, and they are a bit uncomfortable for long-term use, but this is perfect.
The button on the thumb rest is unique and very much appreciated too!I did have to return and get a new one because the tilt scrolling was too sensitive, and I *STILL* feel it's a bit too sensitive
Because I came up short, I then try to jerk the mouse a bit more, and it zooms off to the other side of whatever I was trying to click on
Coming from a corded mouse, I was a bit hesitant to jump into a cordless one.
Best mobile mouse around, a bit heavy and center wheel button a little hard to push.
