    Logitech M705 Wireless Marathon Mouse

    • After receiving the mouse the scroll wheel spins free and just doesn't stop spinning
    • I like the navigation buttons, the choice of free spin and precision mousewheel, and the thumb click function
    • The logitech free spin wheel is unlike anything else on the market and this feature puts this product above the rest at this price point
    • I also like that you can change the scrolling from 'notched' to free spinning with the click of the button.
    • I have purchased other Logitech MX mice for the free spinning wheel feature, and thought I could save money by purchasing this model.
    • The "free-spin" function works very well, but the wheel almost spins too "freely", making it somewhat difficult to stop scrolling exactly where you want on longer pages and forms.
    • I know all mice do this to some extant, but this one makes it choppy and hard to use/aim.-The scroll wheel on free spin is SUPER touchy.
    • However, the wheel on this model is not balanced, so when the wheel is in the free spinning mode and I stop moving the wheel, many times the wheel spins forward or backward on its own, because the heaviest part of the wheel wants to rotate to the bottom position.
    • The top wheel spins on its own like a flywheel-goes wild.
    • Conversely, although the "ratcheting" option offers more tactile feedback than the free-spin setting, it is seriously clunky under the fingers
    • This still allows free spin, but introduces enough friction to keep the unbalanced wheel from inadvertently rolling around.
    • If you leave free spin on after scrolling making the page scroll up and down repeatedly.
    • It's free-spinning, and my web browser and MS Office docs bounce o\up and down when I scroll one direction
    • The free-spinning wheel is kind of fun, and the mouse is very versatile on different surfaces.
    • it is a medium sized moue with 3 programmable thumb buttons, notched or free spinning muddle button with side clicks on the wheel as well
    • This mouse allows the user to switch between a "free-spin" mode and a "ratcheting" mode by depressing the button directly behind the scroll wheel.
    • I can't recommend using the free spin when browsing, you'll scroll down a bit and it'll scroll back up.
    • Also, I'm not a fan of the middle wheel; it's very loud when you give it a good spin, and it seems like it would be more useful if it spun a little more freely.
    • Love the free spin feature of the scroll wheel
    • Where they once had one of the smoothest and longest spinning thumb wheels, now there is is a stubborn and unresponsive ratchet.
    • It seems like the wheel will keep spinning if you move it to fast
    • The button switches the wheel from free spinning for fast scrolling to more regular mouse scrolling
    • I hate the lock/unlock wheel button, who wants a free-spinning scroll, people who don't understand the page up/down keys
    • The user instructions was surprisingly limited - no explanation of the side switches or the scroll free spin switch... if instructions were complete, it would get 5 stars.
    • The mouse wheel with the button to switch back and forth between a throttled roll and a free spin is such a great feature for when I'm working with large files in code editors and need to get down far quickly.

    • Overall there's not a lot different about it compared to other Logitech mice I've had except for the free spinning wheel
    • This causes some odd movements if rotating the mouse instead of just sliding it.- Mouse wheel is not balanced so when you switch to free spinning mode it will always roll back to the side that's weighted heavier.
    • I literally barely scrolled and it just keeps spinning like a bearing for about 20 seconds.
    • I especially like how the mouse wheel can be "switched" from free spinning to "click mode" (for lack of a better word).
    • I absolutely need the speed scrolling free spinning mouse wheel
    • The wheel on some of them doesn't seem to be balanced well, so when it's in the free spin mode it will roll to wherever the heavy spot is on the wheel.
    • It's extremely comfortable and the toggle free-spinning mouse wheel is fantastic for moving through long documents.
    • (BONUS):If you ever get bored and are easily entertained you can always mess around with the scroll wheel since it can free spin and have the notched thing with a click of that button right behind it.
