Logitech MX Master 2S Wireless Mouse with Flow Cross-Computer Control and File Sharing for PC and Mac, Graphite

    • Pros: Great vertical scrolling feel once you get used to it
    • This comes down to my two complaints of this mouse out of the box the scroll wheel would not switch between the ratchet function and the smooth scroll function, seems tons of people are having this issue
    • I've never been a fan of the smooth scroll setting for the mouse
    • The horizontal scrolling also comes in very handy for these instances
    • I just needed a bigger mouse with side buttons and smooth scrolling experience which might last longer and ended up buying this
    • the scrolling on this thing is noisy, and when switched to smooth scrolling its jerky.
    • I was hoping i could use vertical scrolling on the sidewheel as well but this was not possible
    • The side scroll wheel is a smooth scroll, feels someone weird to use for tab switching and whatnot
    • The intuitive scroll speed works well, and the thumb scroller is a nice added feature.
    • The hyper scroll makes working with a large spreadsheet easy peesy.
    • The braking from smooth scrolling to rachet is a loud click
    • With this aforementioned setup on the MX Master 2S, my index finger can't really reach the forward-most half of the scroll-wheel, which affects the "SmartShift" feature which auto-switches between ratchet mode and smooth-scroll mode on the wheel
    • On previous logitech mice, the scroll wheel also tilted right and left, which I guess had to be removed for the "smart scroll" feature, but I prefer the old 5-way scroller, personally
    • so I upgraded to the 2S version, and I must say this mouse exceeded all my expectations!I work a lot with documents and spreadsheets, and this mouse allows streamlined workflow, with 2 scroll wheels, quick scroll that makes scrolling a breeze, and overall comfort unlike any other mouse I've tried!Highly recommended!
    • The free scroll setting on there scroll wheel is great and free, the software from Logitech works great and is easy to use
    • The smartshift scroll wheel is fun to use but I needed to adjust the setting to make free scrolling sensitivity low
    • To use the left side controls (forward, backward, side scroll) you need to install Logitech Options.
    • The smooth scrolling wasn't all that great on macOS either
    • Even though there is a smooth scroll lock button, I’ve noticed the wheel will occasionally smooth scroll without the button being engaged
    • I like the new features, both the funky scrolling wheel and new side wheel
    • The free spinning "hyper fast" scroll wheel confused me for a bit, but after I got used to it, I love it and bought a 2nd one
    • The smooth/fast scroll is for sure fast for long documents but it's too jumpy and the screen goes up and down too easily when I don't want it to.
    • Scrolling is smooth, and can be switched to fast or regular scrolling using the small button in the middle
    • scroll-Horizontal scroll is a bit stiff--Horizontal scroll does not move the cursor between letters in text-Gesture movement is tacky and gimmicky with thumb button
    • One of my favorite upgrades from the previous model is that the scroll wheels goes in and out of free scroll mode on it's own based on how fast you are scrolling
    • It had auto-free-scroll, side-to-side scrolling, the nifty thumb toggle wheel lots of extra buttons, and felt great
    • The problem is that scrolling up is much harder than scrolling down, which is kind of against nature, because we read from top of the page to the bottom
    • I am satisfied with this product, works very well, although the top scroll wheel scrolls a bit too easily, but I believe this a side affect of the quick scroll function.
    • In addition, on MacOS, the horizontal scroll doesn't feel very responsive
    • Sometimes vertical scroll just doesn't work at all
    • This isnt an issue if you will only use rough scrolling but keep in mind you are not getting the full functionality of this mouse
    • The horizontal scrolling is nice too
    • Scroll wheel: this can be a con for some people, but the scroll wheel automatically switches to "hyper fast scroll" mode (i.e., the ability to quickly scroll down long pages) when enough force is used to scroll
    • The main scroll wheel has this amazing function called "smart scroll".
    • The two scroll options and switch for free scroll/click scroll is amazing and helps to quickly scroll through thousands of lines of
    • Love the feel and the way the scroll wheel responds to fast and slow scrolling.
    • As a programmer, I often find myself scrolling through long blocks of code, and the Hyper-efficient scrolling works perfectly for this
    • Plus the scroll works really nicely, not super fast or slow
    • One of the features is that button just above the scroll wheel that allows you to switch from a smooth scrolling wheel to a tactile clicking wheel
    • In terms of buttons, it's the same as the previous model - two main buttons on top, scroll wheel that acts as a third button and a wheel lock button to freespin the wheel when you need it
    • The free scroll feature (which I heavily rely on) broke after 10 days
    • The buttons have satisfyingly solid clicks, the middle wheel has great feel and electronically switches between smooth and quantized scrolling
    • if they haven't even mastered the basic f***ing scroll.
    • First, the scroll wheel has a mechanism that when you scroll very fast, it "auto-shifts from click-to-click to hyper-fast scroll"
    • Cons:- Horizontal scroll doesn't work on Excel.-
    • Logitech is now setting Smooth Scroll as "OFF" as a default setting for this one, instead of fixing the problem
    • Also love the scroll
    • The scroll is incredible and after using it at home I couldn't go back to a regular scroll wheel
    • Great tracking on any surface, easy setup, can customize buttons, nice scroll wheel, uses old usb dongles
    • Things it does right that the MX Revolution also did right:- Auto-free-scroll if you flick the scroll
    • It's clicky when you scroll slowly and free scrolling (don't know the term) if you want to scroll fast
    • The scroll wheel can be set to either click as it scrolls (not sure the terminology for that) or smooth scrolling.
    • but I had weird scrolling
    • If you don't install the software it is an expensive nice mouse with a nice scroll wheel
    • The issue of soft scrolling is well known and makes the soft scrolling mode completely unusable for me
    • The free-spin "hyper-fast" scroll wheel has changed my life
    • the scrolling on this thing is noisy, and when switched to smooth scrolling its jerky.
    • The mouse wheel in it's "normal" mode (not free scrolling) is louder than expected
    • I love the mouse - particularly the hyper scrolling - a spreadsheet workers dream!
    • (I find it very uncomfortable compared to M705) try before you buyFLAW#2 The scroll experience is ruined, on M705 while in rough-scroll mode, you could go as fast as you want, now if you scroll fast, it sort of disengages then engages, feels like it's broken, I disable the rough scroll now all the timeI'm very sad, I was hoping I'd be getting the best mouse out there, but alas, if you can, stick with other options, or try it before you buy.
    • Also very tactile feeling.- I LOVE the scrolling
    • The main wheel (up/down scrolling) is staggered when moving slowly but smooth when moving faster so you can do both precision scrolling and fast scrolling of long documents/websites etc
    • This is useful for precise scrolling
    • Choice between smooth and ratcheted scroll.
    • Unfortunately the one received from Amazon had a defective scroll wheel
    • Pros -EgonomicSmooth tracking, even with the receiver plugged in the back of the desktop behind a metal and glass deskClicky/smooth scroll wheelGood battery life - been using it for almost a week
    • The scrolling works well and the movement appears really precise
    • Horizontal scrolling is somewhat tricky
    • well-Scroll mechanism is refined and now electrically actuated to serve as a hybrid free-wheel and ratchet, you can customize thresholds in the software-Flow might be nice when I get around to using it-Multi device is a beautiful thing
    • The vertical hyperscroll is really nice, as well as the horizontal scroll wheel at the thumb position.
    • I really wanted to give this mouse 5 stars but there is a slight issue with the top scroll wheel that sometimes over scrolls past what you are scrolling to
    • but the interaction with it just isn't anywhere as smooth as the top scroll wheel (which, as I mentioned before, is my new jam).
    • The scroll wheel is loose and the smart scroll feature causes a loud noise that is felt and heard across the room.
    • I feel like they sacrificed the overall feel of the scroll wheel for the option of changing it between smooth and clicky scrolling
    • Tab switching with the horizontal scroll wheel, using the thumb button to pull up all my apps, and the great Logitech infinity scroll wheel are all great ergonomic hardware additions that make this mouse stand out
    • BUTTONS AND SCROLL WHEELSI was drawn to the Master 2S by the thumb scroll wheel and generous offering of buttons (and of course Logitech's great infinite scroll wheel).
    • The free scroll setting for the mouse wheel is very smooth.3
    • It's not a mechanical switch to flip between free-wheel and detent scrolling mode, so when you flick the wheel it automatically free wheels for fast scrolling then locks back into detent when you stop.
    • My favorite thing is how perfectly it fits in my hand, as well as the second scroll wheel for scrolling right/left
    • - lack of acceleration control is appalling (e.g. you can’t disable it at all) - scroll wheel keeps slightly moving all the time in the free spin mode, very annoying - side scroll is not as comfortable as I expectedI wanted a mouse that would behave exactly the same in Windows and Mac
    • Precision, smoothness, Ergonomic Design - fits well in the palm, functions well on different surfaces, aesthetically pleasing design, efficient mouse-wheel scrolling, good weight - not too light, not too heavy
    • The scroll wheel has left and right scroll built into it (tilt the wheel to the side).
    • My scroll would become non-responsive, then the ratchet/infinity button would sometimes click and it would (sometimes) start working again.
    • Didn’t have issues with that part - configurabikity is great - gestures are a nice touch, although not sure long term - nifty free spin scroll when functionCons - very heavy for a mouse
    • However, there is an option for "smart scrolling", which can estimate when to switch between fixed mode and free mode
    • Other people returned the mouse after Logitech's customer support recited the same BS answer over and over about switching the "smart scroll" feature.
    • Hyper scroll is an improvement as well.
    • Being able to switch between ratcheting and smooth scroll wheel is some kind of
    • seems to use some sort of magnetic engagement that disengages for rapid scrolling - probably by
    • When the wheel is in "free scroll" mode, it is virtually silent.2
    • Scrolling: The scrolling of this mouse is noisy, otherwise, free wheel mode is fairly uncontrollable
    • All that innovation and they couldn't bother with USB-C
    • Type-C. Type-C is just easier to work with in general and my Android smartphone, and plenty of other gadgets I own use Type-C
