Really like the little wheels on the side and the cool triangle design of the thumb rest

Scrolling: The scrolling of this mouse is noisy, otherwise, free wheel mode is fairly uncontrollable

I love the scroll wheel

I really wanted to give this mouse 5 stars but there is a slight issue with the top scroll wheel that sometimes over scrolls past what you are scrolling to

The free spinning "hyper fast" scroll wheel confused me for a bit, but after I got used to it, I love it and bought a 2nd one

I do not like this feature and have Disabled it numerous times via the MX Master software, but continues to "Free Wheel" even with Disabled selected

I also found I had to reach to use the scroll wheel, and I found the wheel felt flimsy because it kind of rattled from side to side.

I still do not find any solid use of lock wheel vs free move scroll since the free move is too fast and the lock wheel feels like regular scrolling

This locks the wheel to whichever setting you prefer under Fixed Scroll Wheel Mode

and I love the secondary scroll wheel, although I can't seem to map it to a function in games like FortNite or Overwatch.

If you try to move the scroll wheel quickly it disengages the mechanism and becomes a free spinning wheel

but the interaction with it just isn't anywhere as smooth as the top scroll wheel (which, as I mentioned before, is my new jam).

My favorite thing is how perfectly it fits in my hand, as well as the second scroll wheel for scrolling right/left

It's not a mechanical switch to flip between free-wheel and detent scrolling mode, so when you flick the wheel it automatically free wheels for fast scrolling then locks back into detent when you stop.

They finally FINALLY brought back the electronically actuated "free wheeling" scroll wheel.

I am satisfied with this product, works very well, although the top scroll wheel scrolls a bit too easily, but I believe this a side affect of the quick scroll function.

The scroll wheel works 2/3 of the time and is "fixed" for a short while by a hard wheel press

So far the mouse is ok, but I don't like the center wheel, which tends to overshoot when I stop.

Great tracking on any surface, easy setup, can customize buttons, nice scroll wheel, uses old usb dongles

This mouse is excellent for productivity, the wheels are really soft and smooth

The vertical hyperscroll is really nice, as well as the horizontal scroll wheel at the thumb position.

Cons include buttons that wear out easily, a stretchy rubber band on the wheel that expands over time and requires surgery to maintain spinniness, and the tracking would often get confused when moving too quickly (i.e. when gaming).The MX Master 2S has a superior wheel (by far), better scanning, and I do prefer an actual wheel for side scrolling although I think that wheel should be spinny too.

And if you like scroll wheels the main wheel is the best feeling and functioning scroll wheel I have used.

In terms of buttons, it's the same as the previous model - two main buttons on top, scroll wheel that acts as a third button and a wheel lock button to freespin the wheel when you need it

However, after an hour and a half I was unable to get the full functions to work such as the thumb wheel or the full use of the some of the other functions

If you don't install the software it is an expensive nice mouse with a nice scroll wheel

The feel, the design, the way the wheel goes free and clicks back into place

Wheel is good, though in no way can the wheel make up for the odd placement of those important buttons.
