Reviews around software (5.00 of 5)

  • I tried Reason, Ableton, Sonar X3, notation programs that include sound packages and VST output including Sibelius, Finale and Notion - as well as standalone software instruments including Kontakt, and the Dimension XP soft synth
  • The device generously comes with a bunch of free software, like my Behringer and Focusrite.
  • I personally did not have a need for the free software included since I use a Licensed and paid version of Pro Tools.
  • The only reason this gets 4 stars is because of how complicated it is to install the free software from cubase.
  • If you are a beginner without software, the free software themselves make it worth buying this device

Reviews around build (5.00 of 5)

  • Solid build, surprisingly large and hefty, but still compact enough for a desktop and a backpack.
  • This interface was a well built and great sounding unit, however with experimentation and seeing the speed of the bus, I found out that there was vital information on the product missing on M-Audio's side

Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • Thank you M-Audio for always putting out great, reasonably-priced products.
  • I bought the M-Audio M-Track because I needed an audio interface with a Thunderbolt connection, and this was the only one I found at a reasonable price
  • The pricing is competitive and inexpensive, and I appreciate it when you plug and play and there are no issues.
  • One for Macs that support USB-C and another that goes from regular USB port to USB-C which the devices uses

Reviews around look (5.00 of 5)

  • Also love the big knob design and sleek look
  • I love the look and feel but the device itself was difficult to set up and once it was set up the drivers kept dropping out, had to reinstall many times over a couple days.
  • Its a nice looking external card too, shame.

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • It's not as warm or loud as it could be, but for the money and the functionality i'd rather trust M-Audio than the next up competitor..
  • I want to like this thing; it looks great and has a great feature set but having occasional pops and clicks is obviously not remotely acceptable.

Reviews around knob (4.16 of 5)

  • I still prefer volume knobs versus software sliders and the M-Track’s large master volume knob is perfect – easy to grab and turn in small increments, right where I want it
  • However, I do appreciate the big convenient knob at the center.
  • My one issue is the one large knob which only controls audio output to the main outs
  • and I love the big volume knob, which is a nice point of control if you don't mind it being top mounted.
  • Only 3 stars because the clip indicator only has 4 lights; -20dB, -6dB, -3dB and CLIP for 0dB peaks, the gain knob needs to be turned nearly all the way up for vocals and the big beautiful knob in the center seems to actually do nothing

Reviews around unit (4.16 of 5)

  • This interface was a well built and great sounding unit, however with experimentation and seeing the speed of the bus, I found out that there was vital information on the product missing on M-Audio's side
  • On paper the unit is definitely an improvement over my old interface.
  • If you are looking for something that needs USB-C connector and are okay at USB 2.0 speeds this is a great unit and sounds great
  • Not sure if I just have a bad unit, or if this issue is prevalent in this series
  • The unit has so much flexibility, from inputs to outputs to MIDI interface.

Reviews around audio (4.16 of 5)

  • Thank you M-Audio for always putting out great, reasonably-priced products.
  • I bought this to replace an older M-Audio device that was lost in a move, along with the software.
  • It's not as warm or loud as it could be, but for the money and the functionality i'd rather trust M-Audio than the next up competitor..
  • It's not as warm or loud as it could be, but for the money and the functionality i'd rather trust M-Audio than the next up competitor..
  • It seems M-Audio has nearly dropped support for this device as the last driver's were published in 2016.

Reviews around product (3.61 of 5)

  • Returned and will be hunting for a superior product with my for $100+.
  • Coming from a focusrite scarlett user I would not recommend this product to anyone
  • Wonderful product when it works, except a very small but noticeable delay on Instrument Line 2
  • I give it a 2 star because the product itself isn't bad but its very flawed
  • I was finally able to enjoy another fine product from M-Audio
