I was confused as to how to make it fit into my car's cupholder at first, but I read the directions and it showed me to twist the bottom to make it extend out into the cup holder.
Disappointing -- I'll be looking for a replacement soon.

You should only buy this if you have a cupholder is a good position to use it.
Every rental car has a cup holder, but they don't always have vents or good mounting positions on the windshields
But given the length that it lasted, I absolutely cannot recommend this to anyone.__Original review below:I went with this product after using another one that had a design of putting it on your windshield (not interested), attaching to your vent (bad position), or using 3M stick tape to adhere it.
I can even pop in the iPhone and take it out of the mCup holder with one hand without disrupting the fixed position I set during the install process.
I do not want to buy one that goes in the air vent because it's in a bad position to view the phone

It was a bit tricky to get it secured in the cup holder.
The neck is a bit stiff and it is a bit difficult to move around once it is set, so if you think you might need to adjust the angle of your phone often, this might not work well.
I would have to say that it actually makes it a little bit safer as well.
The mCup can vibrate a bit at times, but overall it works well for me
I felt it could have been a bit more flexible, and due to the shallow depth of the cup holder, I knocked it out of the holder a time or two.

The one time I attempted to adjust it the tab that holds the mount to the base broke off rendering it useless.
I just got it a few days ago, it came at the right time and it fit in my SUV like it was made for it
If unit is mounted and left in place, it probably would last a few years, but taking it out and reinstalling it many times is not good for something made of plastic.
Also the plastic that holds the cell phone in place broke the first time I slid the phone in.

While there is an arrow to indicate direction to twist the base to release it from the cup holder, I instinctively twist it the wrong way every time
Also had a couple of times where I thought I twisted it in the wrong direction and broke it.
Then after 2 weeks it went all down hill the arm got weaker n weaker n after 3 weeks it went limp like grandpa :( so now as I drive down the street it just flopping
The directions were a bit sketchy and the holder did not expand on the first couple of tries, however when it did expand it fit
