That mount was great but cracked at the base after about 3 years

In trying out several different mounts, I have found that a stiffer mount is not always better.

The looser mount on this Macally allows the phone some freedom off movement, and although it is moving around in space more, it is moving more slowly, like a gentle wagging, and the text is MUCH easier to read.

A very robust long mount - needed for my motorhome as the windshield is far from the front of the dash

The suction cup snaps twice to make it have a very good secure mounting point

The stiffer mount on the other brand does hold the device more tightly in space, however, it has a high frequency vibration that make the screen and text very hard to read.
