The Onyx pretubes are so warm and sexy.... if you're looking for a good mixer that focuses on quality pretubes Instead of internal effects for a fair price... this is a great start!!
Mackie may have been in a slump several years ago but this mixer proves they still can make great sounding and durable mixers for a reasonable price

Mackie stuff seems to be all over the place between s***e and good
(podcasting).I would highly recommend this, particularly for more "set it and forget it" scenarios (due to the 1202 being equipped with dial pots as opposed to slide faders) where you wouldn't have to be riding the gain up and down a lot during live or live to tape scenarios.
