I will recommend this device since it is nice, and small and good quality.
worked!It doesn't come with a manual, which is a bit disappointing - if it came with this manual and explained that the system needed to be updated, I'd give it a 5 star rating, because it seems to be good quality to me.

Mics are great and karaoke offers a lot of options for sound, tempo, key change, custom screen as long as you stay within the play list provided or purchased additional cartridges.
The music that is produced on both of my magic mics is great compared to most karaoke machines I've heard--if yours sounds tinny, you might want to plug it into a tv with better speakers or maybe an external amp or something, because I just plugged the new one into a cheap and somewhat older 20" lcd tv and was extremely happy.

I didn't count this as a negative as I had the option of connecting other devices via the Composite connection on my TV.The music selection is good, having hits from many decades as well as a few newer hits from early 2000
You can also use avi and other video sources as karaoke, again, without the fancy options on the built-in songs, but it's great to be able to play your most current and favorite songs

the first karaoke we got would run through 2 to 3 songs and then freeze up, which required me to reboot it.
songs are often heavily produced to the point where not even a good singer could make it sound well live, let alone me.the magicsing has a lot of good karaoke songs that are included for that reason
Great system, highly recommended, you will need to have a good sound/amplifier system at least 5.1 to plug this into, a 2.1 system will not work producing an odd delay.
If you're gonna invest in it, you got to have a good sound system and a good song selection to enjoy it
