It’s very good phone mount both the clamp and the phone but for those who have a Hard Plastic case on the phone it will not hold the phone under the case it will slide down and fall off, with the soft silicone it will work fine, also as I found out if the case has any texture once the phone get hot the metal plate will detach I did not want to buy another case so what I had to do was lightly sand the back of my case With a fine grit Paper and used a little super

I have have an iPhone X with an Otter Box case and found if you mount the square metal plate to the outside of the hard plastic case with the rubber membrane installed over it, there are no issues with the phone falling off the mount while driving

I would try to tighten it to make it more secure and would eventually break the plastic or bend the metal.
