I didn't realize at first, as it can also fit between the plastic slats in some cars, and eventually the vent slat broke off entirely in my car!

But the connectors are very stiff and I broke one of the vent slats trying to put it on.

The vents in my car are somewhat concave and the section that slides into the vent slats is too short, so my phone and/or phone and mount kept falling off

I have it on the top slat of my 2017 Camry vent above the air/radio controls

It does fit well in my Jetta which has more space between the vent slats

It fits really well in my air vent (you can’t close the vent if this is on though, if your vent has horizontal slats)

and they all have different sized vent slats.

With time the rubber will swear out and the metal will be exposed, which can scratch your vent slats.

My vent slats seem to be somewhat slim, which may be what makes it less sturdy?

On thin vent slats, with rectangular magnet plate on exterior of phone case, magnet is so strong it pulls mount out of vent if you try to dismount phone with one hand.

I have an older 2001 car and with the size of the "prongs" it doesn't fit in my vent slats because they're too bulky

My husband and I use this mount for our prius which has thick vent slats and fits perfectly

Of course the vent slats now point down from the weight but a minor inconvenience.

With more states making it against the law to hold your phone, this is s perfect

Not as well as if you use the magnets that come with it, however, i just put one of the magnets on the back of my phone and now the hold is even stronger

I liked getting two of them as it is nice to have one in each car as well as to take with me when i rent cars etc

They do send two sizes of metal plates and that was helpful but since he had to move the plate lower to use it wireless charger the stability on the magnet in the car is not as great as it could be.

The only downside is that because it fixes into your vent, if it is super hot out, sometimes I take my phone off it so the air can blow directly on me from that vent and not be partially blocked by my phone; as well as in the winter, if I have to blast the heat I am definitely going to take my phone off it temporarily til the car heats up enough that I can switch the vent to mostly floor vents, so that it won’t heat up my phone

I though these did and thought I was getting a steal a since it’s a double pack

But that’s so much better than having the phone and the mount fall out as with the ones that clip into the vent.
