This is a very nice device, which does not require you to put the glue sticky pads on your dashboard or on your phone

Samsung Captivate Slide (yes, a physical key pad):- works great with the small disc plate sandwiched between the phone and case.

Works exactly as it should and has no problem holding my phone (although one corner slightly rests against the radio wall).

Find that because the clamp does not close parallel but closes on an angle I was limited as to where I could install it so that it wouldn't slip
