The weight of the phone pulls my vent slats

Overall, I'm sure this works great for horizontal vent slats, just didn't work out for me.

I have a ‘06 Scion xB and the vent slats are doubled making the area to clip to about 3x the width of regular vents

Attach a small square of velcrow to one of the vent slats, and the other to one of the clamps on the unit.

Works perfectly in my wifes cars with horizontal vent slats, but not so much in the vertical slats of my truck

The vent in our Dodge Ram has vertical slats in the back of the vent.

Works exactly as it should and has no problem holding my phone (although one corner slightly rests against the radio wall).

Find that because the clamp does not close parallel but closes on an angle I was limited as to where I could install it so that it wouldn't slip

It's a LOT smaller than the original mount too which I like as it makes room for other things in my case.

This usually doesn't occur with WizGear products, so im genuinely confused as to why it simply fell apart
