There is a vent hook that hooks around the back of the vent fin

I bought a second one for my truck but the vent fins were deeper and it would not lock on to the fin.

This is the one, very sturdy and has a little hook at the end so it will not slide off the vent fin every time you pull your phone off.

However the clamp design pushes down on the vent fins with no way to adjust the fins to stay up
