Nice Uke for beginner 8 year old grand daughter likes it so far.
My daughter found it much easier to teach her self how to play the Ukulele
My daughter ended up losing interest because it took so much work each time she wanted to play it
My godson who is 7 loves this ukulele and it has great sound!

I should have known by the price, but even as a toy it would be useless since the strings are of the cheapest plastic, cannot stay tight or tuned, and the sound, when it does emerge, is pathetic.
I only gave four stars because the free learning on website does not work (no sound)
Loud, crisp sound, the included Aqulia nylon strings are very high quality
After receiving it in the mail, I spent a month tuning it everyday and doing what I could to break in the strings and after over a month of him playing and practicing on it, they still lose tune quite fast

I did need to replace the strings (they didn't hold a tune very well) but that only cost $10
The product i got was made from a cheap plastic with several impurities on the body
This is typical for ukulele strings as well as for the higher notes on my folk guitar

The strings didn't hold a tune and the ukulele itself was hard plastic, so it didn't make a great sound
