Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • The low price however might seem attractive for students up front, but the low wear-time in the long run might not prove satisfactory, as from what I've heard these strings need to be replaced about twice as often as standard strings
  • had a good price and i've never had a problem with martin strings

Reviews around range (5.00 of 5)

  • I like a stronger low and mid range, and that is what you will get with the m1400's.

Reviews around tone (4.03 of 5)

  • The strings make a bad guitar easier to fret and make a nice bright tone, which I love
  • In addition to being easy on the fingers, they have a nice tone
  • The lower/wrapped strings have a nice warm tone, but the higher/plain steel strings are a stark contrast
  • what i use and like for my 016ny and 00015S played fingerstyle, i like the tone and tension of these strings
  • Great tone not as tingey as bronze strings with smoother action

Reviews around play (3.86 of 5)

  • These are mellow, easy playing and have a low tension on the guitar.
  • A lot of the issues I was having with sloppy playing seemed to vanish when I played with these
  • I have a home studio and play every day, numerous acoustic guitars, all having these strings on them, and they hold tuning well, play super soft, and sound great on a full size and folk size
  • I love these strings played on a lightly built, small body guitar.
  • I have played for two thirds of my life and these are by far the best strings I've ever played, I highly recommend them.

Reviews around thing (3.61 of 5)

  • I cannot say enough good things about them and I will NEVER buy anything else for my acoustic guitars.
  • Best thing about it also is that when I play my guitar the sound and the feels of the strings are smooth
  • The great thing about the strings is that they are easy on your fingers but definitely not as bright as some of the other strings
  • The bad thing is, i snapped the low e chord due to the fact that i turned the tuner too much
  • Worse thing: e string broke while tensioning it

Reviews around guitar (3.44 of 5)

  • The strings make a bad guitar easier to fret and make a nice bright tone, which I love
  • Bright clean sound, silky smooth action, once tuned they stay tuned - even on a cheap flea market guitar with bad action and temperature changes in my apartment, and the guitar in a corner by the baseboard heat, lol. great strings.
  • I have a nice but inexpensive Epiphone guitar that has pretty high action.
  • They produce a warm sound so if your guitar is already rather warm you may not like them.
  • I just put these on my Taylor Dreadnaught 110 and it's incredible how warm and rich my guitar sounds
