This was set at MAX and still not enough heat.
-
I will keep the defective Elite Cuisine as it does heat enough to melt butter or heat frozen vegetables
-
Doesn't create any heat on my kitchen counter and cleans up great.
-
Nice even heat.
-
The plate is interesting but it doesn't look like metal thus did not transfer enough heat to burn the coconut charcoal
-
Im disappointed...the construction is sturdy, the wiring is well-done and the heater plate is very heavy and retains heat well, but it just wont get hot enough.
-
The only thing you need to be aware of is that the cooking surface does take a while to cool down but that is also how it maintains such steady heat.
-
The medium heat is enough for high conductive pans, like aluminum
-
It does not heat, Not Hot Enough!!
-
It's impossible to regulate the heat or to obtain the heat you need if a breeze is blowing across your stove
-
Burner unable to keep heat steady at temperature selected because it appears to have an automatic temperature control that keeps turning the heat off
-
heating is excellent and food gets done quickly.
-
It heats up quickly, has focused heat (you can put things nearby and they won't catch fire or heat up), and has consistent heat
-
I had the need to TIG weld a couple chunks of aluminum, and try as I might, I just couldn't get enough heat into them to get a puddle started
-
Very well made and heating is very nice and even
-
Solid surface heating element is better than the coil and drip pan for ease of ownership without cleaning.
-
Also since the cover is cast iron, it will retain heat well even after you turn the knob off
-
For some one wants 'faster heat up', pay more to get the 1500 watts one.
-
I wanted to ensure that it would work well for cooking simple meals and heating up canned goods.
-
No heat, no light, doesn't work at all
-
(all dead now / failed at the control knob either no heat when turning on, or coming on when turned off by itself being a fire hazard
-
When it was working it was slow to warm up/heat
-
I purchased two of these to compensate for two dead heating units on my stove
-
If i could trade it for a faster heating product i would.
-
I really like the number of heat settings: warm, low, medium and high
-
HEAT CAN BE DANGEROUS !
-
It heats up fast with adjustable heat control.
-
This unit was simply did not produce enough heat to do that task
-
You lose continuous heating due to this poor design, but it marginally works if you are super, super, patient
-
Good heating element, but the "on light" can only be seen in low light.
-
As long as it didn't get worse, I wanted to use it because of its good heating performance
-
It worked great when i got it, noticed it started not heating as much, than nothing, literally won't turn on
-
Works great - heats fast - solid heating element is best so pot does not slip off - control works accurate - grip pads on bottom work nice

But is is compact, provides enough heat to make a one-pan-meal for 2 people at a great price

-
Cast iron top distributes heat evenly.
-
While an electric griddle might be a better option for precise temperature control, this hotplate is generally pretty well-made for its price and has a good, multipurpose heating element.
-
If it doesn't, you lose your S&H, and applicable tax
-
nice plate, so far works as it should
-
The burner works great, it heats up the coffee pot as fast as on my stove top at home.
-
Doesn't get as hot as we would like, but does the job.
