I bought this 6 months ago and held off writing a review until I could get a good idea if this works well

It doesn't really work well as an on the spot communication device, but it does work as a history of who/what came to your door, and a timer for your porch light

For now the first version of software is working very well

The light works fine, the alarms work well and the ability to see who's at the front door is great

The microphone works, and you can manually record from Live View (evidence my wifi functions properly); however, it fails to generate a live

The camera views are very clear and microphone works well

I am SO disappointed, its an amazing concept with a great app thats easy to use and very intuitive

It was very easy to installed the light and setting it up the free app was very easy.

App is very easy to use and the units have been doing what they are supposed to for now.

It does NOT have web browser support, so your only option is using their proprietary phone app via your cell phone, which does not work reliably.

Great concept but the company customer service is non-existent and condescending responses in their initial email.

The Kuna Security Light is a fine concept, but lacks maturity in design testing, meaning all trouble possibilities.

My only complaint after getting everything working was the quality of the video at night

Installation is easy, and downloading the app is easy too

The installation is made difficult if the mounting bracket can't be turned 90 degrees or if the mounting surface isn't flat

The installation was as easy as installing any other porch light, just twisting a few wires together and mounting a bracket to the electrical box.

Installation was not difficult; it took me about 30 minutes

Installation was easy since I have a mechanical background.

I love the features of recording and being able to intercom to someone at the front door!

I feel like there are other missing features in the settings, but I cannot recall them right now, and the above is enough

Price, with missing features it should be priced around $100 or $120.7

I do recommend this product and I believe these missing features can be done with an update no problem, it these issues of mine don't bother you then I'd say get it.

Kuna will immediately send you an alert to your phone which will trigger the camera to start recording (what a great feature!)

Also camera keep disconnecting from internet there fore doesnt work.

This Camera is USELESS if you don't pay for their cloud.

My dislike, that Kuna wants you to subscribe to a monthly paid package to keep recordings longer than 7 days:-( Here's a thought, build it capable to accept an SD card or give it the ability to record to my personal Home "cloud

The Kuna Smart Home Security light works as advertised, but I ultimately returned it

We are thrilled with our Smart Home Security Outdoor light and the Kuna app

The light did lag and buffer a bit when I first installed

When it goes offline when I am home I can reset iT when I am away from home the only thing that has worked is to delete the app and reinstall, and that does not work all the time.

I had this for a while now and the thing was great at first

I bought this for security but if it goes offline all the time, this thing is useless

The one nice thing is the greetings that it gives, including holiday greetings

I have taken off one star because of how hard it can be to see at night, other than that this thing is awesome!

I would give it five stars if the whole wifi issue can be improved.

Now I learned that their customer service actionsare definitely up to the same standards at not only answering customer questions,but following through after the fact to make sure I (customer) solved the issue and washappy with it

Worst part; no porch light when it's "off line" terribly slow customer service.

Bottom-line: Too many other customers have consistently reported problems (laggy videos, no Live View, delayed alerts, bugginess and nonexistent support) for my situation to be an one-off event.

Not capturing motion properly and poor customer service

Customer service and tech support is absolutely terrible, you call the automated system tells you that you are "next in line" and after an eternal hold dumps you into a voicemail that you can't understand.

The motion detection is not accurate enough for a security camera.

Since the motion detection is unreliable, being able to manually start a recording is paramount.

Motion detection was sporadic and alerts almost non existent

We also have a "companion unit" at the front door (light only, connected to the front door camera unit by bluetooth, we have two sconces there), also stopped working about a month ago, and cant be brought back to life, even after reinstalling the whole unit, and multiple hard resets

They have no live help phone number so you are forced to email

Yes if you want to keep things on the cloud over the free two hours there is a monthly fee, but the advantage is that there is no DVR to take, by the time the bad guys realize they are on video its already uploaded to the web

Just as advertised in their video I was sitting at work and got a notification and some sketchy guy was standing at my door step with no one home.. as soon as I asked how I could help

rather the bad guys didn’t enter my yard in the first place
