Maxxtow trailer light kits are built to meet or exceed DOT standards. Light kits are for trailers under 80 inches in width. Light kits (non magnetic) include 2 stop/tail/turn lights, 2 side marker lights, wiring harness and mounting hardware.
Come on Maxxhaul when wiring a trailer you need the wire be to tough enough to handle anything.
The lights work fine, however the wire that came with the kit is absolute junk
I installed on 18 ft. trailer, and had just enough wire.
I replaced the wiring with real copper wiring and found that the connectors inside the tail lights were just twisted together wire with heat shrink holding them together, unbelievable

I love these lights they worked great for my trailer and very easy to wire my only problem is I used my trailer maybe 10 times since I put them on and the 4 flat plug on the trailer side already went bad almost like the ground and the wire for the running lights molded
The 4-pin connector does not match any USA 4-pin, so you must rewire your vehicle connections, or fabricate a pigtail connector that has their weird flat plug on one end and standard USA connector ( like U-Haul or any auto parts store)
My first troubleshoot revealed the new new wire harness had a bad plug connector

Work well, the plug is junk but the lights do their job
After a quick and easy install these are very bright, and everything works as it should.
I hate that this like most trailer harnesses, have a short ground wire that expect you to ground the frame of the trailer then pick up ground off the frame for each of the lights.
I went to the local H/W store and bought wire so that I could not only ground the frame (just because) but run the ground wire directly to each of the lights.
Works as it should, just had to do it somewhat differently
When using a boat trailer in salt water, the ground connections always corrode real bad since metals are dissimilar, (aluminum trailer, Copper wire, Steal or brass bolts.)
Also the wire used in the kit is cheap and after just a few months the copper (may not be copper) wire itself breaks
I cut the wire back over a foot, and there's nothing but crumbling copper
